“Hey Al’s… “ Savannah slowly opened my door.  “are you awake?”

I groaned, putting my arm over my eyes. After everything happened that night Leviathan walked me home. Nothing was said between us, and by the time I got home it was four in the morning. Leviathan said he would see me soon but it’s been three days and he hasn’t even visited me in my sleep… not that I wanted him too or anything…

You would think after promising to knock someone up, you’d at least try to get to know them.

The thought of me making that foolish agreement makes me feel stupid. That’s what I get for getting swept up in the moment. I’ve had to wear a scarf every day or my hair down just to cover the mark. I’m. So. Stupid.

 “Maybe…” I responded to Van’s question.

The following morning after that crazy night Savannah came bursting into my room crying, saying that Jace left her a text stating he was done with her. I felt a pinch of guilt since I knew the reason why and couldn’t exactly tell her. She has been moping around the house ever since. I can’t wait to see Jace again.

 “Happy birthday!”

I was more surprised by the excitement in her voice than the fact that it was my birthday and I forgot. She climbed into bed with me and moved my arm away from my eyes.

I smiled in response. “Thank you.”

Savannah hugged me, and curled up against me, making herself comfortable.

“Let’s go out tonight.” I could hear the pout in her voice before I even looked at her.

“But I made plans with Adrian.” Another reason why I feel stupid for agreeing with Leviathan. I already had someone I was interested in, and at least he wasn’t the spawn of Satan.

“He can come too! Please! I’ve been so upset lately… and you’ll have fun too!” Again, that guilt came flooding back.

 I sighed. “Fine.”

Her big blue eyes lit up and she squealed, pulling me in for another hug. “You do love me!”

Savannah and I ended up going to the Blue Lagoon. Adrian wasn’t into cheap bars, and only agreed to come out if we went here. I haven’t had the time to tell him I was fired from here just yet, but since he agreed to switch plans so easily I at least wanted to go somewhere he would enjoy.

Thankfully Van knew the bouncer and got us in, otherwise we’d still be waiting on the sidewalk with everyone else who was trying to get in tonight. We made our ways to the bar.

Savannah was wearing a short red dress with bright red lipstick, her hair up into a classy ponytail, showing the backless part of her dress. I was wearing a black cocktail dress, borrowed from Van, and light pink lipstick. My hair was pulled to a side ponytail and curled. We came a little early, Adrian said he’d meet up with us soon.

“Two grey goose and lemonade with two shots of Patron.” Van said casually to the bar tender.

“Van, you know I don’t drink.” I pulled down my dress slightly, feeling a little exposed. The dress was shorter than I was use too.

“But we’re celebrating your twenty-second birthday along with my new found freedom!” Just as the bartender handed us the drinks, Shelly my old manager walks up to us.

“I was wondering when you would come begging for your job back.” She snickered.

“W-what? I’m n-“ I started.
