Deamon within

~11~ Own darkness 2 (with Ignis and the keeper)

The keeper picks Ava her limb body up, she seems to be completely gone from the world. "Now, what happened?", he asks, hoping that Ignis, still can get contact with him, even with Ava her unconscious state.

"She, we, I.. I don't even know which part of us it is exactly! I think it's her. Ava, she feels so bad and she started to figure out how to create small flames to burn her skin with because she just.. I don't know, she hates herself, blames herself?"

"Self destruction.., Ignis, since when is this going on. And how did she found out how to make such controlled fire, I didn't do anything to learn her that yet!".

"Actually, since the day we came here.. she just figured it out somehow. But we first had an agreement, she wouldn't do it, if I staid silent. But today, she just broke and she burned the same place over and over until.. there is all this blood"

The keeper only nods and starts pressing wet towels against Ava her wrists, they're burned deeply and the bleeding isn't stopping. He puts some herbs on the wounds for it to heal sooner and starts stitching. The bleeding gets stopped almost completely due the stitches, but the wound is looking ugly and nasty. He starts bandaging her wrists while he thinks. It's all my fault, I shouldn't have let this happen, maybe she won't make it and it's my fault I didn't notice her being in such deep depression. "Contact me if something happens", he says while walking out of the room.

After a while, Ignis notices the body he's in, Ava's body twitches a little.

"Could she... Could she be trying? Ava? Ava!"

Ignis tries hard to contact her, but no response. There's actually nothing he can do. But he knows what she's going through and actually he also knows what could get her out.

"I'm sorry Ava, but this is the only thing I can do and I'm sorry if it hurts you, if you can hear me, I'm sorry"

With all the strength he has all the power he imagines his idea to the deepest darkest places in their unconsciousness, hoping, that it is enough energy to let Ava realize that the only way she will get out of this, is to fight herself.

Half a minute later her body starts to twitch heavily, she's hitting around her and nearly falling of the bed, her skin is glowing up.

"Help!!!"

Soon after the keeper comes running up, without further questions he sees Ava her body and tries to stabilise her. "She's fighting, this is it, it's now or never".

"Ava, girl, I'm so sorry for everything I did and didn't notice. I should've been there for you more. I know maybe you think it's easier to be away or maybe even easier to die. But we care for you and there really is purpose in you living on. I should get you to the other world to learn how to control your power, if you wake up..I promise, we'll figure something out, there's so much I should've told you, I'm sorry", the keeper whispers to her unconscious body.

He takes her temperature, even for a fire demon, it's dangerously high fever she's having.

"I'm not sure, or she's either fighting hard there within or giving up"
