It's was a breezy day. Esther was taking a walk to the cemetery where her sister, Ivy, was buried. Tommorow would be the ten year anniversary of Ivy's death. Ten years. Ten years without being able to talk to her sister, see her, hug her. Esther missed her sister so mu- Before she could finish her thought, she arrived at the cemetery gate.

She opened it to find a man standing in front of one of the graves. She took a step closer to see what he was doing. He was digging up one of the graves! At another glance, Esther noticed that it was not just any grave, but the grave of her sister!

Esther let out an involuntary gasp. Oh no! Had the man heard? He seemed to not have noticed. She had to do something. She couldn't just let this happen. She pulled out her phone and began to dial 9-1-1. Just as she had entered the second one, her phone buzzed.

The man whipped around. Esther began to run. She didn't look behind her. She didn't call for help. She just ran. She heard a gunshot behind her. It missed. She watched as it hit a tree. Better it than herself. She kept on running.

She was too scared of what might happen to her to feel tired. She didn't know how long she had been running, but it felt like an eternity.

Just as she finished her thought, she saw her house. Finally! She could run inside and call the police. This man would be arrested, and Ivy could rest in peace.

Esther heard another gunshot. She saw the neighborhood around her go dim. No! She couldn't die! At least she had to make sure this man was arrested! Her legs gave out, and she collapsed onto the concrete. She tried to yell out for help, but the words couldn't escape her mouth. Hopefully one of her neighbors would see her and help, but it was unlikely. It was the middle of the workday, and her neighbors all had jobs.

The man picked her up and began to carry her away. She would die. She would die at age twenty-three. She had so much of her life ahead of her! Though not as much as Ivy had had. Twenty-three was still not as young as ten. Poor Ivy!

As if the universe could read her mind, Esther arrived back at the Cemetary, right at Ivy's grave. The man continued digging it up. Once he finished, he placed Esther inside. The man began to cover her up in the dirt he had just digged up.
Then, everything was black, and Esther's body was lifeless.
