When the Reverend was two feet away from us the sweet stench of Lophophora Williamsii hit my nostrils. I wavered a bit but remained in my position. This specific smell changes everything and makes the whole situation dangerous in another way.
I stepped up and put my hand on the Reverend's chest to stop any further movements towards the threesome behind me. This specific action caused both Charlie and Andrew to shout my name in alarm, I knew it was stupid initiating contact with an angry man but I had no choice.
"Reverend let's calmly talk about whatever has you distressed when we enter the house," I said and gave my most dazzling smile with a bit of delta werewolf mojo that stopped him in his tracks and confused him for a minute.
A minute is all I need.
I quickly transferred my hand to his stomach and applied a bit of pressure and then moved away. As soon as the pressure was applied he bent over and started throwing up. I gave a shout of surprise (acting skills are A1 as usual) and backed away from him.
Sue screamed a bit and Noah, Andrew and Charlie ran over. The Reverend's legs failed him as he kneeled in the driveway continuing to throw his guts up. Lillian dutifully played the scared girl role and pulled me into a hug and away from the commotion.
"Call the pack, tell them to surround Angel and Andrew's home," I whispered in her ear still hugging her.
"What are we looking for," she whispered as she pulled back a bit and acted like she's checking me over.
"A spineless cactus that might have a pink flower, I'll send them a picture," I replied back, hand reaching for my phone as we both turned to watch the guys help the Reverend into Charlie's police cruiser, probably heading to the hospital.
I sent a picture I got from Wikipedia and said to Lillian, loud enough for Noah and Andrew but not for the others to hear, "The Reverend will be fine, the most he'll have is hallucinations, nausea and vomiting but nothing permanent. If the doctor, hopefully it's Carlisle Cullen, says to take any medicine immediately decline until the results come back."
I saw the two boys visibly relax and felt Lillian relax next to me.
He hates the idea of them so much yet they would never wish harm on him.
How admirable~I looked on as the car drove away and I appreciated the boys' trust in me to stay behind with Lillian. I hope they come back soon though, because the mad scientist that Tiema's vision spoke of might not be as simple as we would have hoped.

With the whole Weber family in the hospital it was easy to search inside and outside the house for the plant. We found it in the flowerbed that the Reverend personally takes care off and according to our noses it was probably in the food the family ate that morning. Someone switched the pepper with ground Peyote.According to the herbs page I pulled up earlier to explain the plant for the others, 'The tops of the cactus can be dried to form "mescal buttons," which are well known for their hallucinogenic effects and contain the alkaloid mescaline, among others. The hallucinatory effects vary greatly among individuals and even for a particular individual from one drug experience to the next. The variations seem to reflect such factors as the mood and personality of the individual and the setting in which the drug is administered.'
The Reverend had a lot of anger about the ALN (Andrew, Lillian, Noah) issue and someone (probably the same person who switched the pepper with the Peyote) must have tipped him off that ALN were with me and that's why he came to Charlie's home, hoping to ambush us.
Peyote did not work on Mrs. Weber because she always drinks a cup of motherwort at breakfast which is a relaxant and nullifies it. The twins also chased their breakfast with milk wish also kills the effects of Peyote. It obviously didn't affect Angel because she's a werewolf.
(A/N: I AM MAKING MOST OF THIS SHIT UP YA'LL)
This time a huge disaster was avoided at the nick of time. I have wolves patrolling the whole town (avoiding the shifter's tracks) while I planted Sage and other protective herbs around all their homes. The Reverend is unconscious at the moment and we can't question him so we'll just have to wait till tomorrow.
