They say the ties of family are like no other, however it is also said the bonds between friends are unique and last a lifetime.

Whatever maybe the truth I had to make a decision fast at that moment, but the gods must be looking out for me because Charlie's phone rang at that moment.

He answered it quickly and we all watched as his face took on a grim look. Of course with our super hearing Andrew and I both knew that the call was about a new dead body found.

"I'm sorry everyone, but I have to leave immediately. Bella, Renee we'll talk later." Charlie said before he headed out.

The principal looked lost for a minute before he smiled and apologised for taking me out of class.

"You may take the rest of the day off, Ms. Swan. Last period has ten minutes left so I see no use for you to return," he said.

I couldn't help but let out a breath of relief escape me.

I threw a meaningful look at my mom before I turned to Andrew and we both bounded outside the door and then the school gate.

We reached the forest; the place behind the gym where I introduced the pack to Angela and Ben. We stared at eachother for a while, just eyeing one another when we suddenly attacked.

We fought for a total of twenty minutes, claws extended and sharp teeth twisted in snarls as we attacked eachother. However the fight ended when I kicked him and he hit the tree behind him; momentary losing consciousness.

When he came to again we both cooled down a bit and I started chewing him out.

"What part of I will take care of this do you not get, you complete idiot!" I yelled in frustration looking at him sitting on the floor.

His eyes glowed red for a minute, a sign of his Alpha title, before he replied back to me his voice a bit raspy from growling and snarling, "She's my sister and she doesn't deserve this. Whoever caused her to turn will suffer."

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.

"Are you counting to ten?" I heard him ask curiously.

"Try a hundred," I snapped back.

I opened my eyes again when I felt him stand up and I had to crane my neck up to look at him. Damn my five foot four inches height.

"Andrew, look I know that she is your sister and you didn't want her to have a fate like this. But please understand how dangerous it is. There is a pack of shifters, the volturi and Vampires here. If they found out about you this will be a huge bloodbath." I reasoned looking at him pleading.

His eyes softened and he looked away twisting his mouth in a grimace, "You're right Bells." He said, and continued, "I won't rampage, but please let me help you find the rogue."

I smiled at his turned away face and agreed.

We walked through the forest, heading towards his house and idly chatting trying to keep our killing intent to a minimum.

"By the way, why was your mom there?" Andrew inquired once we leapt over a small stream.

"How did you know that was my mom?" I asked back curiously because I'm sure I never showed him or anyone a picture of her.

"She looked like you, and she was there with the Chief so I assumed." He answered back easily sending me a cheeky smile that brought out his dimples.

I rolled my eyes but smiled back nonetheless.

"I'm assuming she told Charlie that he isn't my dad." I answered his earlier question.

We were walking up the driveway as he whistled in surprise.

"So what're you gonna do?" He asked as we stood in front of the door.

I honestly don't know what I would have said at that moment because it was then that the door opened and we were face to face with our very own sourwolf.

"Derek?" Andrew and I exclaimed in shock and in a very Derek-y fashion he grunted as he pulled us into the house.

The whole of Andrew's pack was here. The twins were wrestling with Isaac in the living room as Joe, Ben Jr, Ben Cheney and Chase watched. Angela was drinking coffee with Stiles and Lydia as they chatted.

What. The. Hell.

I turned to Derek with my confuzzled expression and he only shrugged and said one word.

"Meeting."
