When I woke up, I was in a whitewashed room on a bed with white sheets and her arm was in a sling. She stared at her arm for a few moments before she realized what had happened, and she screamed as loud as she could. Her mom and Jake rushed into the room and Jake ran to her side, and told her what had happened after she passed out.

"You guys were taking a while to 'talk' so Evan told Marcie to go see what was going on. She said if you two were kissing she would kill him and tell him you were taken. I was wondering what she meant when she went to find you. When she came back, she was absolutely freaking out. She said Ash somehow knocked you out and you were barely breathing, and so I rushed in and we got you to the hospital, and called your parents." He explained "I don't know what happened to Marcie after that, but she is probably at home. The doctors said you will be fine and they just have to run a few more tests now that you are awake before you leave." "Thanks, Jake. You are about the greatest friend ever." "That's what your mom told me. She invited me over tonight for dinner with you guys."

"Okay, Jake. We'll see you later. I need to talk to my daughter alone." My mom intercepted. "Alright. Bye, Amie." He shot me a look that said, 'good luck'. "You and Jake need to get together sometime. You have been friends long enough that you two know each other well enough."

"Not gonna happen, mom." I said, rolling her eyes. "Awww, why not?" Her mother looked at me with a pleading look on her face. "Fine. I'll see. I love you, mom."

"I love you too, sweetie."

When I got home I went up to my room and called Marcie, but it went straight to her voice-mail. I just guessed she was in the shower or something, so I got on my laptop and emailed Jake. 'Hey. I'm really bored and I need someone to talk to. Please email me when you're on.' After a while of playing a game on my laptop, I got an email back. It said, 'You need to get a life. :)' Then her phone started ringing and it was Marcie's number. When I picked up the phone, a man's voice rasped, "Hello Amie. This is Ash. You need to come save your little friend Marcie. She is crying and she will need your help." Then Marcie screamed in the backround, and I freaked out. "Tell me where you are now. Trust me, Ash. It was a bad idea to tell me it was you. Now I can kill you."

"Ugh. The Abandoned warehouse, downtown." He muttered.

When I got to the warehouse, she heard a banging inside and then Nick ran out. His eyes widened when he saw her. "Amie, please don't kill me. I didn't do anything to hurt Marcie." He looked at my arm. "What happened to your arm?" Then I noticed that he had a black eye and his nose was bleeding. Then Marcie came running out of the warehouse. "Amie, it wasn't him. It was Ash. He was being a butt and he was jealous of Nick, and when I tried to save him, Ash knocked me out too." I looked at my watch, sighing. "Oh my gosh! I really have to go. Jake will be at my house soon for dinner, and I have to get ready." "Ooh, can I help?" Marcie squealed.

"Sure, I don't see why not." I smiled. As we drove to my house, I interogated Marcie. "So. What was with Nick, and why did you say Ash was jealous?"

"Well, I was thinking he might have seen us kiss in...." "Wait, you kissed him?" I interupted dramatically. She loooked sheepish. "Yeah, I kinda did."
