I woke up very excited. Juliette had told me that her cousin would be at school today and that she would introduce us. I was really excited to meet him and see if we could be friends. I think I needed someone like me, someone who knew how I was feeling.

I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and jumped up. I walked into my closet and picked out a black and white low striped shirt and a black jacket paired with a pair of dark skinny-jeans. I put the locket around my neck and combed my long, dark hair back into a fairly long ponytail. When I turned my head, my hair whipped out.

I swung around and let my hair fly out before I walked out of the room and into the hallway. I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. Astora looked me up and down before smiling and walking over to adjust my jacket. I pushed her away slowly before smiling. She sighed. "I've always wanted a daughter. Now I have one." She hit my hair so it swung around behind me. I smiled at her as I swayed past her to sit at the table.

She had a bowl of cereal waiting there for me and I sat down to start eating. I ate as fast as I could and I was soon ready to go to school. I tapped my foot on the floor as she slowly slid on her jacket and shoes. I pulled her out the door then and hopped into the car. "You must be terribly excited for something." Astora raised her eyebrows. I smiled simply. Shrugging, I said, "I wouldn't know why." I smiled devilishly. She smiled, shaking her head slightly and she drove a little faster, as if she knew exactly what I was talking about.

We soon pulled up in front of the school.

I hopped out of the car and closed the door, hard, behind me. I jogged around the car and waved through the window of the driver's side. Astora waved back and drove off leaving me one the sidewalk in front of the school. I whipped myself around to face the school. I adjusted my backpack, swallowed, and started towards the school.

I walked in at apparent rush minute at school. Everyone was rushing around to get to first period. I finally made it to my locker. Juliette had a locker about a locker away from mine, so I wasn't to worried about asking her about her cousin. I gathered my stuff and headed off to first period, hoping Juliette had just gotten here before me and hadn't gotten stuck at home, sick.

To my relief, Juliette was sitting in her normal seat, right in front of mine. I sighed in relief and slid into my seat. Juliette turned around in her seat and made a frowny face at me. "My cousin called my mom before school. His flight got delayed for another week!"

I just stared at her. "What?! He's going to miss the dance and the talent show!"

She just nodded sadly. I felt my eyes widen and my spirits drooped. I sank my head onto the desk and she gave me a weak smile before turning around as the bell rang.
