jihyo heaved out a sigh after nayeon's last message, sure she felt bad, but her goal in college really wasn't to socialise. it was mainly just to learn and earn good grades.

this trait lead the young girl to gain quite a bad reputation. see, in class jihyo would build up quite a thick wall around her and confide in her comfort behind it. she wouldn't talk to anyone, wouldn't bat an eye toward anyone, she'd just have her head glued to a book or the lesson. this would leave jihyo vulnerable to teasing and stuff like that, but did she care? no. as mentioned before, she was there solely for the work.

jihyo wondered how she still had friends. she managed to get herself a small, tightly knitted friend group consisting of just sana and nayeon. she's had them since school, which always came as a surprise to others and herself, honestly. the other two were loud, rather popular and definitely had more friends than jihyo would ever have. yet despite being this closed off, the two older girl's would still treat jihyo as their baby sister and would spend quite a lot of their time with her too.

rolling onto her stomach, jihyo listened to the recording of today's class and took any notes she might have missed—her mind being completely consumed by work. she thought taking a major in music would be fun, but nah she didn't expect all the written work. it's worth it. was all she could come up with as a way to keep her going.

three knocks at her door was what snapped jihyo back into reality. grumbling under her breath the small girl dragged her legs out of bed and pulled herself up; scampering off to the door afterward.

her brows furrowed upon seeing who was at the door. nayeon grinning brightly, and sana holding a few bags. they were well dressed too, the two having faces full of makeup and rather flashy outfits.

"okay what do you want?" jihyo asked, unamused. "we're going out." nayeon responded with pride, pushing her way through into the younger girls house.

"I already told yo—" her protest was cut off to nayeon hushing her violently. "a night out would be nice jihyo."

sana's head nodded in agreement, "if you don't like it at the party you can just say so! we'll go out for food after."

scrunching up her nose, jihyo gave a nod in reluctance; "fine then, i'll try—"

"you didn't have a choice, come on i brought some clothes." chimed nayeon as she grabbed jihyo's hand and pulled her off to the bedroom. an excited sana trailing on behind them.

"i look a bit weird.."

"oh shut up you don't."

"i have my own clothes—"

"your clothes are something a mum would wear on a shopping trip." sana teased with a smirk.

"thank you, sana." jihyo scoffed, pulling down her skirt a tad as she crossed her arms. nayeon has dressed jihyo in a somewhat edgy outfit, a black crop top and matching skirt which both hugged her body tightly. topping it off with a denim jacket and darker makeup.

"it isn't my style guys." the youngest whined, usually she would go for more softer clothes that were baggier. and she'd always keep makeup to a minimum. at the moment she felt too exposed.

"well it's just for tonight. calm down." nayeon hummed, fixing jihyo's hair before wrapping an arm around her shoulder.

"yeah you look sexy." sana winked, gaining a glare from both girls. "okay..lets go then!"

the party was a mess, just a bunch of college students getting drunk, making out or doing drugs with music blasting in the background. an environment jihyo hadn't of got herself involved in, ever.

she was brought up in a way which shielded her from the not-so innocent things in life. her parents didn't give her any sex talks until her late teens; they wanted their daughter to be safe and innocent for as long as possible.

all this money going toward college and here jihyo was in a party, she wondered how her parents would react.

"heard park jihyo is here." some guy muttered, nudging his friend who cocked a brow.

"what? church girl?"

"probably her first party, awe bless." cooed yoo jeongyeon, one of the 'popular' girls in college. she had the looks, the wealth, the attitude. one thing that made her stand out from other popular girls at the college was the fact that she was more accustomed to hanging out with boys. she found hanging with girls a little annoying, that and they basically rejected the poor girl.

jeongyeon was quite typical in a way though. she was a massive tease which is what got her more masculine friends. she was a huge player, no one was that significant in her life. she'd really only just date to get in their pants then leave after. or she'd date as a dare or something—banta. it earned laughs from her groups which something she valued.

hearing park jihyo, the girl well-known for her awkwardness and excruciating silence in class, was at a party definitely sparked her amusement. she always wondered what a girl like that would do in such environment, she assumed the introvert would have no experience with this type of stuff. her assumption most likely being correct as she noticed jihyo hadn't of even took a glance at the alcohol.

"haven't touched a drink yet, jihyo. what's wrong?" jeongyeon asked as she approached jihyo, leaning on the wall whilst a smug grin twisted on her lips.

she caught her friends watching the two from a distance holding back their giggles.

though the older didn't give them her attention and settled her gaze on jihyo, who didn't make a response. just kept her gaze averted to the ground.

"come on,, at least say something. almost been a year and i haven't heard your voice." jeong put on a pout, gaining a bit of a glare from the shorter who still didn't speak.

"take a drink then?" the taller continued, handing her a cup and filled it. jihyo eyed the drink with a frown, she hadn't of touched alcohol once in her life. again her parents just put a ban on it to keep their child all innocent.

shaking her head, jihyo went to hand jeongyeon back the drink.

"jihyo come here!" nayeon shouted from a distance, a sigh of relief escaping jihyo's lips. she shook her head again at jeongyeon and went off to meet her friends.

jeongyeon's friends caught up to her, a few chuckles radiating from the group seeing as though they had witnessed one of the biggest players get turned down by one of the biggest outcasts on campus. it was certainly a surprise for jeongyeon, yet didn't ruffle her feathers too much.

the lot just continued with the party and the night.
