"so," a voice started, "guess im walking you home again. all the way this time."

jihyo eyed jeongyeon, essentially giving into the stubborn girl as she set off for home. just because jeong was being kind, didn't mean jihyo felt the need to trust her. so she still put off talking—which she figured jeongyeon had given up on trying to get a peep out of her.

jihyo always had her blinkers up, really. ever since being a child, except back then she maybe would talk more. her silent treatment sparked up a lot more when getting into secondary school (high school? idk im britishshd). significant events lead to her having issues with trusting therefore she'd close herself off.

"how were the rest of your classes today?" jeongyeon asked, keeping watch on the shorter as they walked. jihyo shrugged a tad in response, sticking up a thumb to signify her day was fine. "glad to hear, um. mine were a pain." jeongyeon tutted, "i didn't get to see you for some of them."

jihyo nudged jeongyeon softly, the latter snickering as she tried to pull on a fake pout. "no but seriously, even though you don't really talk to me, and the last time you did speak you terrified me.." jeong started, "i really do like how,, different you are?"

those words got a huff off jihyo, immediately causing jeongyeon to backtrack in her words.

"no, i didn't mean it in a mean way. it's just nice having someone who doesn't throw themselves at everyone. you're hard to get." jeong ruffled her hair, closing her eyes in embarrassment. she sucked at this stuff.

"jeongyeon just stop." jihyo laughed out, catching the taller's surprise.

"i find it attractive though." continued jeong with a cheeky smirk. proud she got a...happier response. yet to her dismay, it seemed as if jihyo went back to her quiet state since all she responded with was a shake of her head.

oh well, her words were short but sweet.

"anyway. thanks for letting me walk you home, i really do want to get to know you. you're interesting." jeongyeon commented as the two approached jihyo's home.

smiling, the two waved their goodbyes before returning off home.

the next morning had came around, the sky was a little dark, the streets were still. jihyo was still in bed nestled up in her blankets—sound asleep. she didn't have any classes this morning so she'd do her best to catch up on any missing sleep.

her eyes fluttered open when hearing someone knock on her door, a groan leaving her mouth as she sat herself up. grabbing a blanket, the young girl wrapped herself in it and made her way to answer.

eyes widening when seeing who it was. jeongyeon had invited herself to jihyo's, a wide smile on her face as she held up a bag. "i bought you snacks!"

jihyo scrunched up her nose, this early in the morning? why couldn't she have messaged prior, let alone ask if she could come over.

"i know it's early, i really thought you'd be up. for classes?"

shaking her head, jihyo went to close the door on jeong, wanting to go back to sleep.

"oi— jihyo!" jeongyeon whined as she stopped the door, "i just got you snacks at least invite me in so we can share them."

'ridiculous' jihyo thought to herself, opening the door wider. then trailed off to the sitting room where she planted herself on the sofa.

"sorry for coming at this time.." jeongyeon said softly and followed the shorter inside; sitting down beside her on the sofa with a bashful smile. she laid the snacks on the table in front and leaned back.

"okay." jihyo muttered, "thank you for getting snacks."

"anything for you, hun."

"right..." jihyo looked down, biting her lip; "let's watch a movie then."

jeongyeon nodded her head, getting used to jihyo talking was hard. being responded to always caught her off guard, not that she didn't like it. in fact it was cute. development at its finest. she was happy even though she didn't get much out of her.

jihyo just gave jeongyeon the remote, trusting her to pick a film. whilst jeong would do that, jihyo grabbed a few of the snacks and got up to put them in a bowl. "do you need any help?" called out jeong.

sticking her head out the door, jihyo shook her head no and came back with the food. sitting back down and began paying attention to whatever jeongyeon put on.

although she didn't really trust her, jihyo kind of liked jeong's company. she was pissed because it was early, but the surprise was pleasant. free food and a movie. she smiled to herself and shuffled further down, getting comfortable. jeongyeon wrapped the blanket around the two, more so around jihyo, tucking her in. jihyo watched jeong intently, noticing how soft the girl looked at that time. a side of her that jihyo didn't think she had. it was nice, nonetheless. cute, even.

"you're staring.." jeongyeon muffled out with a small smirk. "eyes forward, hyo."

jihyo's face flushed as she nodded and averted her gaze to the television—jeongyeon chuckling at the latter's bashful attire.

the two watched the movie in a somewhat peaceful silence, quiet enough for jihyo to fall into another light slumber. her head dipping a tad before leaning completely on jeongyeon's shoulder. this catching the other off guard, but would she complain? no. she didn't have the heart to wake her up either, the smaller looked so comfortable and content. the most relaxed jihyo seemed to be around jeong.

quietly, jeongyeon turned off the television and with some reluctance, wrapped an arm around jihyo. gently tracing patterns up and down her arm as she too fell into a slumber.

finally getting somewhere with her baby hyo.
