a couple days had passed since the mess of a party. jihyo had a morning full of classes which she made herself look forward to. unfortunately, she didn't have sana or nayeon with her so it really wouldn't be much of a fun time.

she took her seat and prepared herself for the lecture, tucking some hair behind her ear as she waited for the class to start.

she sat up a bit when someone planted themselves next to her, sighing mentally when seeing who it was.

"did you enjoy the party? I didn't see you much after our talk." a teasing voice spoke, jeongyeon had made the decision to sit next to jihyo which sparked her nerves; mainly because she knew jeongyeon and the other guys would most likely spend time teasing the hell out of her. she didn't look forward to it.

keeping quiet, the younger merely just turned her head to face the professor who had started the lecture.

"come on, you can speak to me you know. it's just me and you." jeongyeon continued, nudging jihyo softly as she turned to face her.

jihyo looked behind her to see jeong's friend group having their focus elsewhere, settling the introverts nerves ever so slightly. she still wouldn't talk though.

"you can trust me." uttered the taller, "at least tell me you don't wanna talk."

unluckily for jeongyeon her attempts still didn't earn a peep, causing her to flop back in her seat in defeat. at first she wanted to tease jihyo and such, but now she was genuinely curious about the girl. she couldn't figure out why she was so quiet—she was used to people sucking up to her

they sat a majority of the lesson in silence, jihyo listening to the lecture intently. jeongyeon often found her eyes trailing to the petite girl, seeing how invested she was with her work was baffling, how could one stay so alert in a lecture like this? she shook her head and leaned forward.

an idea popped into her head that'd hopefully suffice her boredom. jeongyeon grabbed some paper and began writing, later handing it to jihyo.

do you trust me enough to talk through notes?

there were two options which only read, 'yes'. something jihyo noticed about jeongyeon was that she was super confident, the two were practically opposites.

pursing her lips, jihyo wrote down 'no.' and circled it, handing the slip back and looked away. this only caused a grin to form on jeongyeon's face as she got another piece of paper.

you're quite weird y'know. i like it.

jihyo read the paper and rolled her eyes, going to write her own response. 'you're quite annoying. i don't like it, shut up.'

her response actually caused a chuckle to escape jeongyeon's mouth, girly had an attitude. it was amusing regardless, but this was probably the most interaction she got out of jihyo in a year.

ooh feisty ! im not speaking so,, can't shut me up.

jihyo looked up at jeongyeon, averting her glance quickly after. 'leave me alone.' was all she wrote as a response, growing somewhat inpatient. jeongyeon was..persistent.

you're the one responding, hun

after reading the note, jihyo scrumpled up the paper and set it back on the desk. flashing a sickly sweet smile at jeong before switching her attention to the class, occasionally writing down notes. she didn't want jeongyeon to think she was opening up, because she really wasn't. her trust wasn't something someone could gain easily—notes wouldn't speed up that process—not that she'd ever want to get close to the other. she knew how sly she could be, getting involved with someone like that could lead to her getting hurt or worse, she'd probably lose sana and nayeon. knowing how much the two disliked jeong.

jeongyeon rested her head on the desk when jihyo stopped responded, it was fun while it lasted. not long. though she shrugged it off; looking ahead of her as she zoned out for the remainder of the lesson.

___

eventually the agonising hour had passed and the boring lecture had finally ended. jihyo gathered her things and swung her bag over her shoulder, not even batting an eye at jeongyeon as she went to make an exit. she was glad to actually be out of there, sitting beside jeongyeon for that long was scary in a way. she felt tense next to her, it was tiring.

on her way home, jihyo took a stop to a cozy looking coffee shop resting on the busy street. it was weird how calm and nestled it looked despite the busy atmosphere outside, you would expect such place to be packed up. instead it was filled more with sleep-deprived students writing vigorously or reading excessively; many empty cups scattered beside them.

made sense as to why they'd choose there though, the shop had a warm stillness to it. peaceful in a way. perfect place to revise at least, shielded you from the bitter frost outside and prevented any temptations back at home.

jihyo ordered her drink with a soft smile and took a seat nearer the window, a soft golden glow radiating through from the sun; providing a nice light for her surroundings. whenever she was stressed with studying this spot of the shop would help. nice was all she could say about it.

though to be a dismay to this situation, jihyo's attempt of settling down from that lecture was interrupted when hearing a thud from the window. eyes darting ahead, she spotted a jeongyeon holding a cheeky grin waving at her. all jihyo could feel were eyes staring at her—the quiet atmosphere in the shop was disturbed because of her 'bud' and basically herself. biting down on her lip, the introvert stormed out of the shop, cheeks reddening in embarrassment.

"oi wait up." jeongyeon called out, a teasing tone in her voice. jihyo just shook her head and continued her walk, in a huff. "aw is the baby in a mood?" the taller cooed and caught up to the smaller. the way jeongyeon was acting just reminded her of petty school teasing, childish and to be honest, frustrating.

"i should probably walk you home, don't want baby hyo to get in trouble." jeong declared, chuckling. jihyo's eyes narrowed as she coaxed herself out of the older's grip, how much she was starting to despise her egotistical attitude; it was easy to leave someone alone. why couldn't jeongyeon just go? she rolled her eyes and tried to walk at a quicker pace.

"if you want me to leave you have to tell me, hun. otherwise i'm staying all the way until you get home. not to be soft or anything, but i'd rather you be safe." jeongyeon hummed, once again catching up to the younger as she wrapped an arm around her shoulder. jihyo tensing up as she stopped in her tracks.

"stop."

was all she could utter out, her voice stern.

"get away."
