it was a quiet morning, jihyo would be sat in her college library scanning for books, something to pass the time really. she wasn't a nerd or anything. her fingers traced gently along some dusted spines of books, eyes exploring the wide variation of genres as they widened upon finding a title that caught her interest, the only dismay to this would be the fact it's too high to reach. and jihyo wasn't exactly the tallest. huffing, she jumped up on her tip-toes and did her best to knock it. no luck.
"hah you're short." an entertained voice commented.
"jeong, do you stalk me or something?"
"no..okay i saw you enter here, just wanted to talk to you."
"right, speak then." jihyo uttered, crossing her arms in anticipation.
"do you need help reaching that book? unlike you i have legs." jeongyeon snickered as she approached the latter, a grin resting on her face. oh how jihyo hated that smug expression. "no, i can reach it." hyo snapped in response.
she's a stubborn one.. jeongyeon thought to herself, "go on then."
"i will." heaved jihyo as she once again, got on her tippy toes and tried to get it, essentially stomping when failing her attempt which got a laugh out of jeongyeon. "shortie." hummed out the older as she stepped forward and reached to get jihyo her book, leaning on the smaller--trapping her essentially.
jihyo being jihyo, she eventually ended up reddening in response to the contact. a somewhat nervous chuckle escaping her lips as jeong stepped back with the book.
"here!" she chimed and handed jihyo her book, brows raising when seeing the smallers face. "aw, did baby hyo get flustered because i accidentally made contact with her?" jeong questioned and mimicked jihyo's pout.
all she got was a stomp on the foot before jihyo walked off.
"meet you in class then."
--
recovering from what happened earlier, jihyo took her seat in class and pulled out notes ready. looking up when seeing jeongyeon had arrived and took a seat beside her. "hey again,"
jeongyeon got a nod of approval and a wave. she had sort of figured jihyo out, she talks when she's comfortable. if she's in public or uncomfortable she'll shut up - quite like a turtle retrieving back in its shell when near danger. it was a coping mechanism.
which jeongyeon finally came around to respect.
ripping out some paper out of her note book, she began to write a bit before handing the sheet to jihyo.
you busy tonight?
there were two options, reading yes and no. jihyo ticked no.
epic, wanna come to the fair with me? my friends are boring and wont.
once again, there were two options reading the same as before. it was a surprise to jeongyeon as to how nervous she suddenly felt, she actually wanted to spend time with jihyo. jihyo took a small glance at jeongyeon to figure if she was being serious, she earned an anticipated nod. smiling, she ticked yes.
jeongyeon's excitement was indescribable. beaming, she clasped her hands together and began scribbling another note.
great! i'll come pick you up at like, 5pm? it'll be fun.
jihyo's smile widened at the sight of jeongyeon's enthusiasm. maybe she was faking it,, nah. jihyo stuck up a thumb in approval. "coolio, i'll leave you be to work then." whispered jeongyeon; a look of accomplishment washed up on her face.
