jeongie
yo hyo, where are you?

baby hyo
library.

jeongie
ew why?

baby hyo
homework

jeongie
that's boring. come out.

baby hyo
no

jeongie
fine i'll be there soon.

jihyo let out a sigh at jeongyeon's message, why couldn't she just have alone time with her work? shaking her head, she averted her attention back to her work. clinginess was both cute and annoying.

she turned around when hearing the library doors open, waving when gazing upon jeongyeon who's eyes seemed to lock with hers almost immediately. hastily, jihyo turned back and pulled a chair out a little bit for the older.

"how long are you gonna be working for?" jeongyeon chimed out as she sat down.

"a while? i don't know."

"aw, when's it due?"

"a couple weeks."

"jihyo- why are you doing it now, as if it's due tomorrow or something?"

"if you're gonna be like this can you just leave me be? i like having things set out and organised, i like working ahead of things. unlike you." jihyo sighed, watching the older intently. her company is nice, but a pleasant disturbance.

"fine calm down nerd." jeongyeon chuckled to herself and leaned forward, looking at jihyo's work. "bet you regret choosing a music major with all this theory work."

"nah."

"why did you even pick music?"

jihyo looked up at jeong before averting her gaze again; "i don't know. i can sing decently..and i like writing my own songs. it's a passion."

"ooh care to sing any of your songs?" jeong smirked a tad, intrigued in the latter.

"no."

"aw why?"

"i said i like singing and writing, i didn't say i was necessarily good at it." jihyo uttered bashfully, shaking her head.

"that's probably a lie, almost everyone knows about how good your grades are. come on, let's go back to yours later, then you can sing to me." jeongyeon proposed, a curious look hinting at her face as she cocked her head to the side.

"maybe." jihyo muffled out shyly, tapping the desk. jeongyeon chimed and nodded, settling in her seat as she watched jihyo write attentively. she adored her passion.

"okay i'm done for today." jihyo spoke up after a bit, leaning back in her seat as she heaved out a tired sigh. homework was draining. "great! should we go?"

jihyo nodded her head as jeongyeon held out an arm, the smaller clinging onto it as they made their way back home.

"why do we never go to yours?" jihyo asked as they walked, jeongyeon shrugging. "i don't know. my house is a mess, i get the impression that you'd probably want to tidy it."

"wuss." jihyo uttered under her breath.

"oi i am not, you're the wuss."

"no."

"yes."

"shut up."

the two shared their giggles as they eventually got back. "do i really have to sing in front of you?"

"yeah."

"no, jeong i'll let you look through my notebook but i don't want to sing." jihyo admitted, fidgeting with her jumper sleeves. jeongyeon pursed her lips, nodding when picking up on jihyo's discomfort. "that's alright! where's your book then?"

"i'll go get it." jihyo grumbled reluctantly as she scampered to her room. jeongyeon made herself comfortable, shrugging off her jacket as she waited for the younger excitedly.

"prepare to be disappointed." jihyo laughed dryly, sitting down near jeong as she handed her the book.

jeong shook her head at jihyo's remark and flipped through pages, she seemed to pick up on a few lyrics that were dated recently - a majority being wholesome or love-based. was jihyo in love with someone?

"these are,, super cute jihyo. you're really talented." jeongyeon cooed, "i'm sure your voice is just as good."

jihyo's nose scrunched up as it was practically impossible to hide her gummy smile, looking down, shyness laced in her expression. her response tickled jeongyeon's heart as the taller set the book down.

"i'm really envious of you, hyo."

"why so?"

"you're just..perfect. good grades, good looks, pretty cool attitude. whoever you love is really lucky." jeong hummed, a hand reaching out to rest on top of jihyo's.

jihyo's face twisted, cheeks flushing ever so slightly as she furrowed her brows. "jeongie what do you mean? i don't love anyone?"

"ey dont lie to me hyo."

"i'm not!"

"your poems are,, lovey dovey. either you're dating someone, or you have a fat crush on them."

jihyo didn't respond, moreso with a shrug. "i'm going to get us snacks." she frowned and got up, her arm then being grabbed as she looked down at jeong.

"you don't have to lie. it's not like i'd shame you."

jihyo tried to pry her hand away, she just got a tut in response. "i really thought we were getting to a point where we share our feelings jihyo, actually talk about stuff."

jeongyeon shook her head and let go, disappointed. "i'm wasting my time, i'm just gonna leave."

her voice was disheartened, and cold in a way. her goal was to get close to jihyo, the younger clearly didn't strive for that. as jeongyeon was approaching the door, she was tackled in a back hug. small arms attaching themselves around her body, somewhat tightly.

"im sorry.." jihyo started, hesitation in her words. jeong paused - curious.

"jeongie.. i love you."
