“Mr. Williams are you listening?” My teacher said and everyone in the class looked at me.

“Sorry ma’am. I am going to listen from now on.” I simply said and she continues to discuss her lesson.

“Psst.” Someone said and when I look, it is one of my basketball teammates. I looked at him meaningfully, parang sinasabi ko sa kanya na kung ano ang pakay niya. Lumapit naman siya sa akin ng hindi napapansin ng teacher namin.

“Occupied utak natin, pre. Any problem?” Siil niya. I rolled my eyes and then smirk, masyadong feeling close itong isang ito. Hindi dahil nasa team na siya ay kaya na niya akong kausapin ng basta-basta. I still have standards.

“It’s none of your concern.” Sabi ko at nakinig na ulit sa teacher.

When it is lunch time I went to the cafeteria immediately to see her beautiful face. I don’t know what is happening to me lately, I want to agree to my father’s proposal when I immediately known that she will be my wife but on the other hand, it makes me not to agree because she might not like me and she only think of me as a friend, a friend since the dawn of time.

“Ken!” Kaway nung dalawang kambal na lalaki! They are three years older than I am and their sisters are only a year older than I am.

“What’s up?” I asked them.

“Kami nga ang dapat magsabi niyan.” Sabi ni Luigi.

“Oo nga, Ken. Kahapon parang hindi kayo si Jack and Jill. Hindi kasi kayo magkasama hanggang pagpunta sa bahay ni Ate Blaze.” Dugtong naman ni Luis.

“That guy Brent just used Kaye to get someone he likes, that jerked!” I hissed.

“Wo! Pare, chillax. Sa pagkakaalam ko ginamit din ni Kaye si Brent para pagselosin yun taong gusto niya pero parang wala atang effect yung kay Kaye kasi hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin do the move yung lalaki.” Naiiling na sabi ni Luigi.

“Pero ang alam ko ay mahal na mahal nung lalaki yung babae. Sa pagkakaalam ko rin ay ang theme song nga niya para kay Kaye ay Kung Ako Na Lang Sana at Kung Ako Ba Siya.” Dugtong na naman ni Luis. Teka! Parang ako yung pinariringgan nito, a! Lagi niyang kinakanta yun kapag nakatingin ako kay Kaye.

“What are you talking about?” I asked them. Instead of answering me they just shrug their shoulders.

“Pipila na nga muna ako at bibili ng food sa cart.” Sabi ko at tumayo na papunta sa pila. When I look at my back, I saw her walking. She’s really beautiful. Before I could drool over her, I look away and focus myself on the line towards the cart.

“Seryoso natin, a!” Someone whispered in my ears and I smirked.

“I’m just hungry.” I said while I turned my face to look at her. Her face is so near to my face that I almost kiss her red lips. Bigla siyang napaatras at namula ang pisngi niyang matambok.

“Sorry Kaye.” I apologize.

“It’s nothing.” She stammered says.

“You want to go first?” I asked. I always do this whenever she’s behind me in the line.
