Baka last time ko na itong mag-UD this year. Busy kasi ang lola niyo sa mga raket! De joke lang. Busy ako kasi lately at marami akong inaasikaso this. So probably next year na ako makakapag-UD!

Chapter 5

-Kenneth-

I just looked at her walked away from me with the girl. It is like she is dripping away from me.

“Did we just saw she left you like that?” Czarina said. I look at her and Cristina is with her. I know ever since we were kids she has a feeling for me but I couldn’t reciprocate that and she know it. She’s doing everything to convince me that she feels towards me is only admiration and not more than that.

“She is also looked different today.” Cristina said. I sigh and walk away from them. They are my friends, yeah, but seeing one of them is getting hurt because I am in love with one of their friends is sucks. It is more complicated than my cousin’s love life before.

I wanted to go home early and since I still have one last subject to go probably I could skip that one. I could live with that. So I went back to the grade school department to wait for my siblings to be dismissed and people constantly looking at me. As I wait for them by the entrance I saw some familiar faces and two of them is Hugh and Josef, both of them are now on tenth grade and by next semester they are on the high school department.

“Hey man, what are you doing here?” Hugh asked me.

“Waiting for the twins, they are about to be dismissed.” I told him.

“Dakilang Kuya ka na, a.” Josef said. I really don’t know why he doesn’t want to be called Jose, besides his real name is Josefrey Carlos – JC, the same initial as his father. I just didn’t answer him.

“I heard that you went to the seventh grade. Balibalita na kung sino yung pakakasalan mo.” Sabi ni Hugh at napailing na lang ako. Of course they will found out, even if the seventh grade are in building A and tenth grade are on the building B but there section are just near to the twins section because building A and building B are conjoint.

“Sino nga ba, pare?” Josef asked.

“Her.” I simply said and both of them howl like a dog. Are they really my friends? They are acting like animals.

“Nice one, pare. Alam na ni Kaye?” Tanong ni Josef.

“She’s the one who presented herself to my father.”

“Yun, yun, e. Paano ba yan, Josef? Talo ka! Yung pusta?” Sabi ni Hugh and suddenly Josef gave five-hundred peso bill to Hugh.

“Nagpustahan kayo at kami ni Kaye ang pinagpustahan niyo?” Tanong ko.

“Sorry man. Sabi kasi ni Hugh may gusto raw si Kaye sa iyo but I didn’t believe him kasi naman grabe ang clingy din sa amin nun. Hindi kaya halata.” Sabi ni Josef.

“Hindi nga halata sa kilos pero tignan mo kasi yung mata ni Kaye kapag itong damuhong ito ang kausap o nagsasalita parang wala ng pakialam sa paligid.” Hugh counterpart what Josef said at ginawa pa akong damuho. Is that even a word? Mga ito talaga, laking kalye siguro itong mga ito kaya kung ano-ano ang mga nalalaman. After a few minutes of talking to Hugh and Josef, the twins emerged from the exit of the grade school department and they are so happy to see me there. They even ask if we could go shopping – Jasmine is the one who asked – but I decline it and said that I want to go home and take a rest.

Didn’t know how long I’ve been lying in my bed and listening to song of The Beetles but my Mother emerge from the doorway of my room.

“Mom.” I said while turning off my ipod.

“Can I come in?” She asked.

“Of course, mom, you are always could come in.” I sat up.

“How sweet.” She smiled.

“Something wrong, mom?” I asked.

“Pumayag na si Princess na ipagpakasal kayo ni Kayezza.” Mom revealed.

“No way!” Ninang Sofie, agreed? How could that happened? As I asked my dad before he told me that Ninang Sofie is not totally convince to the arrange marriage thing.

“Yes way. Kaya pinaplano na ng Daddy mo at ni Kelvin ang pag-merge sa company and when Kayezza turns nineteen ipagpapakasal kayo.”

“Mom, I told Dad that I will make Kaye, my girlfriend first.” I told her.

“Alam ko, yun din ang sinabi ng Dad mo pero gusto niya dalian mo dahil nalaman daw ng Ninang mo na nagbabalak umalis ng bansa si Kayezza. She’s going to the States.”

“Hindi pwede. Nag-iisip pa nga lang ako kung paano ko gagawin yun.” Ngumiti si Mom lang sa sinabi ko.

“May welcome home party para sa Ate Blaze mo. Uuwi siya dito para magbakasyon, napaaga daw ang pag-uwi sabi ni Kelvin. Invited tayo kaya mag-ayos ka na at pupunta tayo sa Villa.” Mom said and she walks towards the door but before she leaves my room she look back at me and said. “Wear something to make Kayezza drool for you.” And with that she left my room. As the door close, I went as fast as I could in my closet and look something presentable in Kaye’s eyes.

-Kayezza-

Biglaang naman ang pag-uwi ni Ate, kaya eto kami at tulirong-tuliro na kami sa paghahanda ng welcome home party kay Ate. Habang inaayos ko ang mga roses sa may vase biglang may pumarang kotse sa may front door, hindi ko naman iyon pinansin. Busy nga kasi ako! Mga ilang minuto ang lumipas at pumasok ako sa loob ng at nakita ko ang napakagwapong nilalang sa buong Milky Way!

“’Te Kaye! ‘Te Kaye! Bigay ni ‘Uya Ken, oh!” Sabi ni Lukas. Tumatakbo pa siya palapit sa akin at pinakita niya ang isang batman na laruan. Pinagmasdan ko ito at biglang napatingin kay Ken.

“Collectibles mo ito di ba?” Tanong ko. Nakita ko naman ang ngiti niya, minsan lang ngumiti pero ubod ng gwapo! Napaiwas ako ng tingin, nakakahiya! Alam naman niya kung ano ang nararamdaman ko.

“Yes, but Luke ask me for a batman toy so I gave it to him.” Paliwanag niya habang lumalapit sa akin. Shit! Ang gwapo niya talaga! He is wearing a simple white shirt, a stripped jeans and black converse shoes pero yung dating niya sa akin ay kakaiba pa rin. Nailang ako bigla kaya napaiwas ako ng tingin sakanya at pumunta ako sa side table para kunin yung isang flower vase pero bago ko makapunta doon ay nahawakan na ni Ken yung braso ko.

“Why are you avoiding me?” Tanong niya. Napaiwas naman ako ng tingin.

“Ha? Umiiwas? Hindi kaya, baka imagination mo lang yun.” Sabi ko.

“No, it’s not my imagination this time because ever since you told me everything yesterday you are avoiding me. Is it because you are shy you told me that you like me?” Ngising tanong niya pa. Napahatak ko naman ang kamay ko dahil sa pagkabigla sa sinabi niya.

“Oo, nahihiya ako. Kasi I know you might think of me now as a flirt, a bitch or a prostitute.” Sabi ko. Napakunot naman ang noo niya pero tumalikod na ako at naglakas palayo sa kanya.

“I don’t think you that way. I only saying that to the girls who told me they like me because I want you are the one who told me that.” Sabi niya. Napalingon naman ako sa kanya pero it’s too late dahil wala na siya doon.
