It was not a school night today so I decided to stay up late.

I was scrolling through my phone when I got a call from Maddie.

"Hey."

"Lauren, you can't believe what I just saw in my social media feeds!"

"Maddie? It's literally midnight and you're going to tell me how much likes your recent post has got to?"

"No... it's not about me."

"And I'm not the only one who scrolls through my feeds during the middle of the night."

"Can you just tell me what you saw?"

"Nadia. She's coming back."

"Wait. Nadia, as in my brother's ex?"

"Yes! The only girlfriend your brother ever had."

"Lauren?"

"Hellooo??"

"Lauren!"

"Lauren Orlando!"

I quickly ended the call.

She's back.

She can't be. Can she?

Not again.

Things will get messed up.

"Hey Lauren are you still awake-" Johnny says as he opens my room door. "What happened to you?"

"She's back. She's back!" I tell him.

"Woah, calm down." Johnny says before sitting beside me. "Who's back?"

"Nadia...." I tell him before he stares at me blankly.

He must've remembered all the things she did to him.

All the things she made him broken.

The things that made John a player.

"She is not going to like it when she hears about this." I say, getting a look from John.

"She's not going to like what when she hears about what?" He asks.

"You and Annie? If Nadia hears about it, she might explode!" I explain.

John lets out a small laugh. "Yeah, I'm not so sure about that."

I look at him. "What are you? Defending her?!"

"Lauren, it's the middle of the night. You are going to wake up the whole world. Keep your voice down." Johnny says.
