"Wait, what?" I ask in a bit of a shocked tone.

"Yay!" Lauren exclaims.

"Why is she invited?" Lexi asks, pointing to Lauren.

"Because she's my daughter." Dale replied.

"Wait, how long?" I ask.

"A month, Johnny." Dale says with a grin.

"Can someone slap me." I spoke before my hand makes its way to my cheek.

"You're welcome." Maddie says as she gives a genuine smile.

"Maddie." Dale says sternly before she apologizes.

I touch my cheek and it was numb.

"You actually slapped me." I spat.

"Yeah, you said-" Maddie says before getting interrupted.

"Right, quit the nonsense." Dale stops us. "I'll be listing those who will not be coming."

"Who would say no to a vacation like this?" Carson asks.

Not in my watch.

"Okay, I must be on my way." Dale says before walking out of the room.

The rest of the gang heading to their own rooms.

"Wait, dad-" I tried following him.

"Johnny." He states before turning around to face me. "Tomorrow."

"But-" I spoke before getting interrupted.

"Tomorrow." He said sternly before walking out.

My jaw dropped.

This was the first time dad didn't hear me out.

"What's up with you today, Johnny?" Carson asks. "You're like, soft."

"Yeah," Lexi agrees before walking past me. "I agree with Carson on this one."

"Kinda cute." She says before squeezing my cheeks and walking to her room.

I hold my cheeks and look at Lexi.

"Johnny, Johnny, Johnny..." Carson says as I look at him. "Get over it, what was it you wanted to tell Dale anyway?"

"I-It's nothing." I stutter. "I-I'm sure I can handle it."

I get out of Carson's grip and quickly head to my room.

"Johnny boy can't handle the fact of leaving his girlfriend is he?" I hear Carson say at the hall.

"Fuck off!" I yell before slamming my door shut.
