Yes, it has been four months since it all started.
How Annie and I met.
How I cared about her and those other stuff.
Annie decided to go to school on her own today because she said she can do it herself.
So, I let her be.
Walking up to the school entrance, heading to Annie's locker, I see her and some guy pinning her to a wall.
I walk towards them as I realize the guy was Asher.
"Asher." I spoke.
"Oh, hey there. It's been a while." He says before going back to Annie.
"Get away from her." I tell him before pulling him off Annie.
"Well, she wasn't with you." He says. "Why not take the chance."
My jaw clenches and my hands start to form fists.
"She's mine." I firmly say.
"I don't see any label." He says making me take a step towards him.
"J-Johnny," Annie says getting behind me. "Leave it."
"Yeah, what your girlfriend said. Leave. It." Asher says.
Annie hugs me tightly to the point I couldn't move any step towards Asher.
Asher walks away as I finally managed to get off Annie's grip.
"Why would you do that!?" I ask her.
"S-sorry." She says as she looks down.
Oh my- this was the first time I yelled at her.
Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit.
I rub her back. "I-I'm sorry." I tell her softly.
"I just, couldn't handle it." I explain.
She buries her head on my chest as she just hugs me.
"Don't leave me." She says.

"When are you planning to tell Annie?" Lauren asks me making me lift my eyes from my phone.
"Tell Annie what?" I ask her.
"Don't be such a dumbass. You know what I'm talking about." Laurens says.
"I'm not planning on telling her anything." I say before looking back to my phone.
"Why won't you tell her?" Lauren asks.
"Because, she's sensitive." I tell her. "She'd be conscious of every fucking thing around her and it would make her restless."
"And I don't want that to happen to her." I add.
"So you're gonna lie to your girlfriend?" Lauren asks. "Look, this is your second girlfriend?"
"Third." I mumble.
"And if you mess up your chances who knows what will happen." Lauren says. "Remember why you dropped out of the gang."
"I broke up with Nadia." I tell her. "Dad only wanted me in his gang because I was with Nadia, who was part of North Ridge."
"What if you go back?" Lauren suggests.
"Are you being fucking serious right now, Lauren?" I ask her. "Have you seen dad, lately?"
She shakes her head no, softly.
"If I go back, who knows what he can do to me, or worse, to you." I tell her.
"But Johnny-" Lauren warns before she gets interrupted.
"I can do this on my own." I tell her. "And Annie doesn't need to know."
She looks at me with desperate eyes.
"I just need her to stay with me all the time." I add.
"If they're going after you, why would you want to bring Annie into it?" Lauren asks.
"Let my plan be, Lauren." I tell her before she rolls her eyes.

"John, what's wrong?" Annie asks before I hold her hand, tight.
"Nothing." I tell her before exhaling deeply.
"You seem...nervous." She tells me.
"Just, don't leave my sight." I tell her as she looked at me terrified.
"W-why? W-what's wrong?" She asks, nervously.
I comfort her.
"Nothing's wrong, Ann's." I tell her. "Just, stay near me."
"Johnny, you are up to something." Annie says.
"I'm up to what?" I ask her.
"Is there something you're not telling me?" She asks.
"I'm telling you everything, nothing is wrong." I reassure.
"Really? Why do you want be by your side all the time?" She asks crossing her arms. "Overprotective much?"
"No, I just- I just want everyone to know you're mine." I tell her.
