Cecilia's P.O.V

I woke up to Dimitri walking in and out of the closet. "What time is it?"

"Good morning. It's seven o'clock." He said and climb on the bed to kiss me.

"Where are you going this early in the morning?" I ask, now sitting up.

"To the manor. If possible I'd like to talk to all your workers today, like all of them." He said and arrange his tie. I got up and kiss his cheek before going inside the bathroom to take a shower. After I showered, I did my morning rituals before getting out with just a towel covering my body. Dimitri was busy putting on his wristwatch before looking up to me. "What a beautiful sight." He tease.

"Pervert." I roll my eyes and started changing.

We both went down together and had breakfast with his family before they left one by one and the only one left in the house are: me, Samantha and Mark. I help her clean up the table before I borrow some books and went to their garden where you can see a big swimming pool, a small shed and flowers at the corner. I chose to sit on the swing bench that is in front of the pool and started reading, while reading I heard splashing and look at the pool to see Mark swimming, he stop at the edge in front of me.

"What are you reading?" He ask.

"A Walk to Remember." I said and showed him the front cover.

"Nicholas Sparks?" I nodded. "Hmm. Mom's favorite author."

"Yeah, I've read a lot of his books but this one. You don't have work today?" I ask.

"No. I was assign to guard you today."

"By who? Dimitri?"

"Dad." He simply replied before submerging into the water and come back up minutes later.

I put the bookmark on the page I was on before putting it beside me. "Wow. You can really hold your breath that long." I said, amaze.

"Yeah. I was on the swim team back in High School and College actually, so I just got used to being in the water a lot and learn to hold my breath longer and longer."

"Wow. That's my favorite sports, but guess what?" I ask.

"What?"

"I don't know how to swim." I said and we both laugh.

"By the way, I want to ask you something." He said after we calm down.

"Go on."

"It's about your stalker." He started. I didn't say anything so he continued "Do you know who or do you have any idea who it is?"

"Actually no, but I remembered one of his letters. He said that he'll be the least person we'd suspect and Dimitri thinks that it may be one of the servants that's why he's interrogating them as he'd like to call it."

"I would too. What about you? Do you not suspect any of them?"

"To be honest? No, not one bit. I mean, I knew them since like forever and I just can't imagine one of them doing it." It's true. They were already working there longer than me living there. Sure, some of them came after I finish University but even that's been a long time.

"You're too trusting." He stated.

"Sorry?"

"I said, you are too trusting. I can tell that you really trust them, but you see, the ones you trust the most actually ends up hurting you the most. It happens most of the time." He said with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Are you speaking from experience?" I ask curiously.

"Yes. Do you want to know?"

My inner gossip loving side squeal and just want to say yes right away. "I do, but only if you really want to tell me." Deep inside, I really want to know. He was about to say something when I cut him off. "Wait, how many people know about it?"
