Chapter 16

Cecilia's P.O.V

I open my eyes to a very familiar ceiling of the hospital. Why am I here again? I close my eyes and remembered everything that happened last night. Dimitri! Dimitri came for me! I sit up and wince when my head throb.

"Hey, hey. You need to lay down." I look up and saw dad. My eyes moisten and hug him. "Glad to have you back darling. I'm very sorry this happened to you, only if I didn't tell Dimitri to break up with you, you wouldn't have sneaked out that night."

"It's okay dad. It happened already, at least it's over now. Edward was caught right? He's in prison?" I ask skeptically. What if he got away?

"Yes, he's in prison now and I'll do everything to keep him there."

"Where's mom?"

"She went home to get you some clothes. Mary and Luca went to talk to the police about everything and Dimitri is outside talking to Dr. Bude, apparently they knew each other." I frown. Before I could ask him how so, the door opened and my mom, Mary and Luca came in.

"Cecilia my love! You're awake! You're okay!" Mary jump on the bed and hug me so tight, my bone might brake. "I'm mad at you for being stubborn and selfish that day! But I'm so glad you're okay, you're back." And she started bawling. I hug her again and pat her back.

"I'm sorry. Yes, I'm back now. Hey Luca."

"Hey, sorry about this mess." He said and gesture towards Mary which made me laugh a little. Mary pulled away from me and punch Luca's arm. I look at mom, who is crying silently watching me. Her smile wobble as she approach me, caressing my face and tucking my hair behind my ear.

"Hi mom."

"Oh my baby." She sob and hug me. "I'm so glad you're back, I'm sorry for everything."

"None of this is your fault mom, don't apologize."

"Okay well. Let's stop all this crying, Dr. Stephanie said you needed rest or it will be bad for my grandchild." My mom said and touch my stomach lovingly.

"Dr. Stephanie?" I ask and look at Mary and she's giving me a yep-that-Stephanie look. My heart squeeze painfully. I see, instead of checking up on me, he choose to talk to her instead. The door open and all of us look at Dimitri and with him is the doctor from before, I'm guessing Stephanie.

"Hi, I'm here to check up on you. Good thing you're awake." She said and uses her stethoscope to check my heart and my baby's heart. "How are you feeling?"

Hurt, jealous, angry is what I thought. "Tired, but I feel fine."

"Okay, well I suggest you rest more then you can go home tomorrow just to make sure." She said and smile at me.

I ignore her and look at dad. "I want to transfer into another hospital dad. I don't like it here, especially after what happened to me."

"Okay darling. I'll arrange that now." He said and look at the doctor. "Doctor, a word please." Stephanie look at Dimitri before she excuse herself and follow dad and mom.

"We'll go get some food, anything you want to eat hon?" Mary ask.

"Red velvet cake and Oreo ice cream please." Just thinking about it makes my mouth salivate.

"What about you Dimitri?"

"I'm good, thanks." Mary nodded and kiss me on my temple before they went out, leaving me and Dimitri. I sat there looking at him, while he sat beside me looking at my hand.

"Thank you."

"For what?" He ask, finally looking at me.

"For saving me."
