Nine Months Later
Cecilia's P.O.V
"Mark!" I yell. I am currently in the Bransons residence and basically nine months pregnant, I have one more week before my due date and at the moment I'm sitting in the sofa with a gallon of ice cream and bacon.
"I'm here, I'm here." Mark said appearing next to me. "You're so big you can't even see me anymore." He joke and just that, my tears race down my cheeks and soon after I was bawling. "Fuck! I'm sorry Cecilia, please stop crying. What do you want to eat aside from this? I'll get it for you." He said in a panic tone.
"I-I want cheesecake a-and whipped cream." I said between sniffs.
"Okay, I'll go get some." When he was about to stand up, I cried again.
"Don't leave me!" I hold on to his arms tightly. I am such a mess that I told Dimitri I don't want to get pregnant again. When I was four months pregnant, I was so attached to Lancer that he had to take a leave on his job for weeks just so he could stay with me, because I wouldn't stop crying and I don't even understand it myself. Remembering that makes me laugh, because Lancer is a very temperamental man and he would always scold me for being too clingy, but would apologize immediately because I wouldn't stop crying.
I was six months pregnant when Mary and Luca got married, from Mary preparing for the wedding to the reception I just cried and cried that I actually look so pathetic I even question if my pregnancy is normal, why is my hormones this messed up?
Dimitri had no proper sleep, because I would always wake him up in the middle of the night to get me food downstairs only to get back with me asleep and now that I'm nine months pregnant, Mark became my next victim.
"But how would I get you your cheesecake and whipped cream if I can't leave?" Mark ask.
"I don't know." I said started tearing up again. "I'm sorry, just one more week and this little girl will be out." I said and caress my big round belly.
"It's okay, I don't mind." He said and sat down again.
"Thank you Mark." I kiss his cheeks and started eating ice cream again. I heard the front door open and close. I waited for whoever it is to come in and when I saw Lancer, I smile widely and struggling to get up, thankfully Mark help me. "Lancer!" I squeal.
Lancer went pale seeing me. "Oh no! No! I just remember I forgot something in the office." He said and walk off. I stop walking and stare at where Lancer stood just a moment ago.
"He hates me! Waaaah!" I heard Mark curse before rubbing my back gently. "Lancer hates me! I just wanted a hug!"
"What is going on?" Dimitri, who just came in, ask. He put down his suitcase before giving me a kiss, silencing my cries. "Why are you crying love?"
"Lancer hates me Dimitri." I said and sniff.
"For goodness sake, I don't hate you." The three of us look at the annoyed Lancer. "You said you wanted a hug and we both know you can't hug me because of your big stomach and that would make you cry again. How many times did this happen already?" He said. I pout at him. "I am not falling for that. Never again." He said and look away.
"Just a hug." I said and raise my arms. "Pleeeeaaaase!" I waited and waited before he took a deep breath and hug me, well semi-hug.
"I am never and I mean never, gonna get a girl pregnant. My experience with this one is enough to scare me and exhaust me than my job does." He said after we pull apart and seeing his scowling face makes me giggle.
"Well, you just put her in a good mood. So, thanks bro." Mark said and tap his shoulder.
------
"Dimitri?" I shake his shoulders to wake him up. "Dimitri" I call again and this time he groans before sitting up.
"What food should I get?" He ask sleepily.
"Dimitri, the bed is damp." I said as I feel the mattress soaking. He got off the bed to switch on the main light, when I shove the duvet away I realize I was causing it. My heart quickens and look at Dimitri. "My water just broke."
"What?"
"DIMITRI MY WATER JUST BROKE! THE BABY IS COMING!" I yell at the top of my lungs as I feel the first contraction. Dimitri help me out of the bed and call out his brothers. All of them, including his parents came out of their rooms to ask what the commotion is about.
"THE BABY IS COMING! LANCER GET THE CAR READY. MARK GET THE BAG WE PREPARED FOR THE BABY!" Dimitri ordered as he now pick me up and went outside where Lancer is getting the car out of the garage. He open the back door and Dimitri gently put me inside and put on the seat belt before going around the car, to the driver seat while Lancer got in the back with me.
"We'll be right behind you." I heard Samantha said before we took off. I hold onto Lancer's hand and scream as I feel another contraction. It wasn't long before we arrive at the hospital, Lancer went out to get me a wheelchair and Dimitri help me out of the car. Lancer came running back with a wheelchair and Dimitri help me to sit before the he push it back inside.
"Hi, the name is Cecilia Winters." Dimitri said to the nurse. The nurse check her book and smile at us.
"Room 301 sir and your doctor will be with you shortly." She said. We then went to the room and I settled on the bed, waiting for the doctor.
"Dimitri it hurts." I said and hold my stomach gently, while my other hand press on my lower back. Dimitri sat beside me and massage my back gently and it actually ease the numbness. Lancer sat on the little sofa in the corner fiddling with his phone. A little while later, Mark, both our parents came as well as Mary and Luca.
"Okay, let's check how far along." The doctor said when she enters the room. All of them except Dimitri said they'll be in the waiting area and that to call if anything is needed. The doctor made me spread my legs as she put on the gloves. "Just relax." I stare at the ceiling as I feel her check me, it's weird but meh. Who cares when you're in so much pain?
"You're ready."
I've felt so much more respect to all the mothers in the world, giving birth was far from easiest. There are times when I just told them I can't do it, no matter how hard I push I don't feel like my baby is coming out. There are times that I almost passed out if not for the oxygen, my ears are ringing, my veins becoming visible that I thought they might pop out. I'm thankful that Dimitri was beside me the whole time, telling me I can do it and that I'm doing a pretty good job.
All the pain and exhaustion I felt vanish the moment I heard my baby's beautiful cries. The doctor put her on my chest and I can't help but tear up.
"Dimitri, she's so beautiful."
"Just like you. Well done love." He said and kiss my forehead.
"Do you already have a name in mind?" The doctor ask. We spent every night thinking of names that the two of us would agree on and luckily we did.
"Yes. Her name will be Adeline Branson." I said and kiss my baby lightly.
"Okay, we'll let you rest and your baby will be in the nursery." She said the nurse gently took the baby.
I can't wait for all of them to meet her.
