Danger.

Something was coming.

Run.

Too tired.

I felt sleep overtake me.

Hm?

Why are there hands around me?

"Someone broke in," a girl's voice whispered quietly in my ear. "You have to..."

I struggled to move and open my eyes, but there was a heaviness weighing me down.

"Are you listening to me? You have to... it now before he comes," the girl's voice was becoming frantic now.

I strained to see anything in the pitch darkness.  It was silent, but I feel a cold presence downstairs. It slowly started moving up the stairs.

The girl hurriedly moved away from me and vanished into the stillness of my room. I still couldn't move. He was right outside my door.

Welp, I'm a goner, I thought.

My door slowly creaked open as the real me woke up.

I hurriedly tried to shake off the sleepy feeling of not being able to move and the trapped feeling the girl gave me.

No one's here. It's okay.

I, of course, didn't believe my mind and proceeded to thoroughly inspect my room at three in the morning for unwanted intruders.

No one was there.

Back to the dream world! I thought as I snuggled down into my covers.
