I sloshed around in the lukewarm water that reached my waist. "What the hell?"
I quickly surveyed my surroundings and gauged it to be an underground cave. Something big was swimming towards me. "Holy shit."
The alligator veered off to chase my sister. "Oh no," she said as she floundered deeper into the water.
"Wait! You should come this way to the shore."
"Oh well," she said as the alligator continued pursuing her.
A huge shark suddenly rose up out of the water. I grabbed a chair sitting nearby and perched on top of it. The shark only seemed interested in scaring me. It bashed itself into the wall a couple feet away.
Poof.
I struggled to guide the motorcycle into the turning lane behind a tan car. I, of course, had no clue how to drive and slammed into the car. Multiple bumps ensued and a "Geezus!" from the guy in the car before I was properly in line.
I swerved in and out of the lanes, thankful that there weren't many people on the road. The motorcycle beeped. I cut across four lanes of traffic and pulled into a gas station.
I turned around and the gas station turned into a shopping strip and the motorcycle into a car with a woman inside. "Um, hello," I greeted awkwardly.
She climbed out of the car. "We need to go get bulletproof vests."
"I'm sorry, what?"
She was already entering a Publix. I hastily followed her. "I'm not quite sure this is where-"
I stopped when I saw she already had two vests in her hand and was reaching for some candy as well. I stayed quiet and let her do her thing, even when that thing included multiple outfits for herself.
We walked up to the register to pay. I pulled a 20 out of my pocket and handed it to the cashier. I then noticed that the Publix sign had changed to a sign reading "Stars."
"Wow, am I tripping," I muttered to myself.
"Already?" she asked. "We haven't even gotten to the good stuff."
I rolled my eyes, collected our bags, and marched out to the car. A guy pulled up beside us and I noticed him eyeing the woman I was with. She was in the process of putting on the bulletproof armour thing under her shirt.
I felt strangely protective of her and glared at the guy. He smirked and started walking towards her. I shoved past him and rushed her into the car.
She gave me an amused smile as I gunned it so hard that the tires squealed. "Jealous much?"
"Pfft. No."
Her eyebrows rose.
"Um, maybe just a little. Okay anyways put your GPS to work. Where am I going?"
The car was more my speed. I was actually driving in a straight-ish line!
"Make a u-turn here."
Fuck.
"Fair warning, I've never done this in my life."
I jerked the car into a rough turn, narrowly missing a truck and cutting a car off. Horns were honking and people were cursing but hey, I did it.
"And turn right here," she instructed me.
I did and there were fires raging across town. "Perhaps another way?" I suggested.
"No, we have to go this way. Just step on it."
"Considering this is my first time driving a car I don't think that's wise," I said as I did what she said.
We raced through fires at over 80 miles per hour. How are we not dead? I'd like to know too.
Mind blank.
"Please, have a seat." A waiter handed me and her plates of food.
"Thanks?" I questioned.
A guy who was presumedly in charge was giving a speech to us and the other people in the room. "And that's precisely why you people can't have relationships today! They're too young! They make bad decisions! They even... fall in love! Oh, the horror." He wiped his brow as he exited the stage.
I rested my hand on her leg under the table. "Good thing he doesn't know about us."
"Mmm. I can't wait to spend some time with you later." She squeezed my hand affectionately.
Looking around the room I saw several other couples rolling their eyes. One was even bold enough to start making out. The guy who gave the speech looked horrified and his eyes bulged out.
"What say we get out of here?" she offered me her hand as she stood.
"With you I'd go anywhere," I replied as I took her hand and pulled her against me.
