I spit sea water out of my mouth as another wave crashed over me.

"Are you sure we should be doing this?" I called to my friend.

"Yeah, it's perfectly fine," she replied.

She easily paddled out and balanced on her board. "See?"

I grumbled as I reluctantly swam out to her.

The ocean started getting rougher. I lost my grip on my board as a wall of water crashed down onto me.

I heard my friend scream as she toppled over. The water hungrily washed over her, beating us both back to shore.

"Grab my hand!" I choked out as the water carried her past me.

She flailed wildly before barely grasping my hand. I held on tight as the water buffeted us up against a wooden structure.

I groaned and shakily reached for the ladder rungs but the sea rose up and pulled me down. Darkness covered my vision as I was dragged into the watery graveyard.

I blinked awake in the...shower?

I took a deep breath. This is fine. I'm fine.

I shifted uncomfortably in my wet clothes. The shower liner suddenly flew out toward me and I shoved it back.

I glanced up. Maybe the fan is causing it to move.

I turned around and screamed as a woman grasped my wrist. Her other hand waved the shower liner and curtain forward to start wrapping around my neck.

She sneered at me as I tried to battle the water streaming into my eyes, a crazy woman that appeared in my shower, and my shower curtain trying to kill me.

My struggling brought the whole curtain rod, curtain, and liner down upon us. I slipped scrambling out of the tub and jerked awake in my bed.
