Dean’s P.O.V
Cas narrows his eyes at me, as he pulls the tux more securely under his arm. “No Dean.” he pouts. I chuckle and kiss his cheek, only to frown when he visibly stiffens, his face turning a light shade of green and red.
“Cas, what’s wrong?” I press, cupping his face with my hand.
“I think I’m going to throw up” He groaned as his eyes focused on something across the food court, “Cas, what is it?” Charlie said for me, gripping his shoulder tightly.
His jaw clenched as he hissed out, “Hale” and Charlie stiffened right along side of him, I had to say this was getting really frustrating.
“Does anyone speak english over here, am I invisible?” I proclaim, waving a hand in front of their unmoving faces. Cas shook his head and went to get out of his chair so hastily, that the chair screeched loudly against the linoleum cafeteria floor.
“Cas, what the hell is going on, what’s wrong?” I huff, standing in front of him now.
“We have to get out of here Dean, like now.” he hisses, pulling on my hand, his eyes wildly searching for the closest exit.
“Cas, wait Charlie-“ “No time, Dean please?” and he looked so frightened and sad that I couldn’t say no. I sighed, nodded and pushed past charlie, who finaly snapped into awareness, and strode to our side as we hurried past the table, Cas started pushing against my hold.
“What now?” “Is there another way, Dean?” He asked, his eyes once again locking on something, closer this time. “Castiel?” I whipped my head toward the high pitched voice, that belonged to a dark haired woman, who’s eyes were grey, her face pale, she was almost as stunning as Cas.
“Hale” Charlie answered for the cowering Castiel.
I frowned down at Cas, “Fancy seeing you here, although Lucifer did bring me here” Hale laughed, a high tinkling sound, that rung through my ears.
Cas’ gaze fell to the floor when she stepped closer, “Hale” he whispered shakily, grasping my hand tighter, I frowned again, “Cas, who is this?” I asked again.
And I watched as Cas changed right in front of my eyes. “Cas?” I asked again, Cas was trembling, like full on visibly, trembling. I’ve never seen him do that before.
And the bitch actually smiled as Cas sunk into himself.
“Oh Cassie, how you’ve changed.” The bitch trilled. “Cas” I tugged on his hand, trying to rouse him from his weird trance. Cas shot his gaze up at me, before he squared his shoulders and looked at Hale.
“Dean, this is Hale, Hale this is Dean; my fiance.” he stated, the mask from before we met sliding back into place. “She was-“ “I was engaged to him before he left.” She finishes for him, and my hand fell from his as I startled, my mouth dropping, because how could I compete with her, I mean look at her and look at him.
And then look at me.
“Dean” Charlie said, her voice tinted with concern as she gripped my bicep, before she turned back to glare at Hale. “What are you doing here, why has Lucifer brought you here?” she demanded, still gripping my bicep, obviously trying to comfort me.
“I brought her here, to show Castiel sense. I come to reclaim our property.” Lucifer interjected, walking up to sidle Hale. Cas stiffened again, and he was shaking harder now, his eyes darting around the court nervously landing back on me.
I felt the tiny flame of rage boil in stomach as I stepped in front of Cas, grabbing his hand back in mine. “Oh look at that, pretty boy’s stepping up.” Lucifer chuckled, stepping closer to me.
