Anisah's P.O.V

I kept my luggage down as the gate man helped me shove it inside my trunk. I sigh before looking back at my in-laws who stood at the doorway, glaring at me.

Ashraf stood there with his mother beside him, looking angry. I was about to say something when he walked inside the house. His mother glared at me and then followed him.

I close my eyes. "You know I didn't want this to happen, Zeenatu," I say to my sister-in-law. "Get out, Aisha." She says before she walks in too.

I walked into the car and drove off. I smile, shaking my head.

Flashback

I tie the rope around my waist, looking at my kimono. "Do we have to do this? We are married already so let's just get on with it." Ashraf says sitting down on the bedside drawer, looking at me.

I roll my eyes in annoyance. "Ashraf, many people said that to me but here I am with you. This is business so we can't get on with it. Anyways, have you sent the rest of the money?"

I ask turning to look at him. "Yeah, but can you stay and I will continue paying you?" Ashraf says standing up and walking towards me.

"Nah, I only stay for 6 months which is in the contract you signed," I say walking to the door. "I hope you can come up with your best acting skills because we're going to need it," I say to him before walking out.

End of Flashback...

I arrived at home finally after 6 months. I wonder how my siblings grew. I didn't meet them for 6 months so that people would not tail me (follow or spy on me).

It sounds paranoid but I'll do anything for family. I've missed them so much.

I walked into the parlor when I heard shouting from my youngest brother, Salis and sister, Khadija. Salis is 11 years and Khadija is 8 years.

I hugged them tightly and kissed them on the forehead including the cheeks. "I missed you, my babies," I say to them before looking up. My immediate younger brother Abdallah sat down to watch with my sister, Hadiza.

The youngest took my handbag from me while I walked to the old fools. I place my hands on my waist, looking at them. "Don't you know how to welcome family after 6 months?" I ask when Abdallah lets out a groan.

Hadiza burst out laughing while Abdallah searched his pocket for something, smiling. "Congratulations." He says handing her 3 thousand naira.

I look at them confused by their actions. "What is going on?" I asked as Hadiza hugged me. "Welcome back. We just made a bet that you would talk to us first or complain if we did not welcome you."

Hadiza says using the money to fan herself. I smiled and Abdallah hugged me. Abdallah grew taller than himself 6months ago. He took my father's height from what I can remember.

My father died when we were young, I was 17. My mother died when I was 18 so my siblings have been with me since then. I had children even though I didn't give birth.

Firstborns always have that.

"You guys grew up compared to the last time I saw you," I say to all of them. "I missed you a lot," I say looking at them and Abdallah shakes his head.

"It is true but it sounds cliché." He says sitting down before I throw a pillow at him. Khadija and Salis sat down watching spongebob.

I took the remote and changed the channel. "Who changed the channel to national geographic of all channels?" Salis whines. "I did because you need to reduce watching. It isn't good for you babies." I say.

"I am grown now." Salis protests, crossing his arms.

"Um, who is going to be the first to check my drawer to bring something I bought?" I say tricking them. They hurried out of the room to check when my phone rang.

I looked at it and it was Ashraf. I roll my eyes in annoyance. "What is it?" Hadiza asks curious. "Nothing, don't bother."

My phone chimed again. "Hey, have you arrived safely? Missing you already." I switched off my phone and exchanged my sim. I switched it back on and stood up.

"But this is your last job, right?" Abdallah asks. "Why?" I turn to look at him. "I hate this job and I don't want you to keep on doing this." He says, concern all over his face.

I knew Abdallah always hated my job. I was not ready to stop it because I would be leaving money on the table. I looked at him before I walked away without saying anything to him.
