Anisah's P.O.V

I sit down with my jaw clenched. Mohammad Tafida. I thought. I had checked up on him in the most reliable way possible, social media.

I checked for his account on Instagram but he didn't have one so I tried my luck to check the hashtags. I found multiple pictures of him, his family and his friends.

Let me just say that he is not only well-known but rich. I pick the card he gave me but I felt hesitant to contact him. I want to stop this but then I will be leaving money on the table.

Nah, I'm just going to do this one last time and I'll stop. I pick up my phone as I lay back down. Let's get this money.

Mohammad's Point of view.

I sat down on my bed listening to how my mom spoke on the phone, outside the room. I know he's 32 and he lives in his parent's house.

Yeah, I built a house when I was 28 but my mom pleaded that I should stay with her. She was alone and my father was never around.

I agreed even though I had two brothers and three sisters. This house is like a family house for the family especially when someone gets married.

I never stay at home. I lay down on the bed with my ash sweats. I scrolled down my phone searching for a mail that was sent to me months ago, maybe a year. Some documents were clipped there.

I was scrolling when Sadeeq called me. "Hey, I found a girl but don't get your hopes up. She is willing to marry and divorce you at any given time." He says straight to the point.

"Really? Where are you? Is she with you?" I ask sitting up. "Yeah, she's with me and I'm at our condo. Don't get your hopes up, bruh." He adds. "I'm on my way."

I say standing up as I take my car keys placed in the drawer. I walked out of my room and headed downstairs. "Ya Moha, can I ask for a favor?" Ameera, my youngest sister that is 17 asks.

"What is it?" I ask looking at her. She smiled widely obviously wanting to ask for something.

"Can you drop me off at a friend's house tomorrow?"

"Why? You have a driver and other male siblings to take you if we're not busy, that is." I furrow my eyebrows.

"Yeah, I know. It is just that.....Okay, fine. My friend has a crush on you and she just wants to meet you." She admits with a pout on her face.

I smile at her words as I place my hand on her shoulder. "That doesn't change a thing, I am busy." I walk towards the door.

"Please, ya Moha." She pleads. "I'm not going there just to see a friend of my sister I'm older than 15 years." I open the front door.

"Okay, can we continue this when you come back?" She bats her eyelashes. "Doubtful," I reply when she groans. "I hate my life!" She says before closing the door.

I had to walk for some time before I reached the parking space. I got into my car and drove off.

Our condo?

I and other friends of mine bought a house where we just stayed. In case your wife kicks you out, you don't have a place to stay, or hide out and for times like weddings in the house, it's here.

I share the house with 10 other guys. When we bought the house at first, I felt like it was useless until we lent the house to Qasim, who couldn't afford a house.

He used the house with his wife before he bought a new one for them. We all know that for us, businessmen or women, there are ups and downs. Losses and profits.

Sometimes, you wake up with nothing in your bank account. I get that so since then, we didn't sell the house.

I parked my car in the compound. I hurried inside to see the mystery wife I was going to marry. "Bros, I'm here," I say walking towards the parlor.

"You're fast. Here she is." He says a little bit far. I walked into the parlor and saw my future wife.

She had a couple of things for sure; no exposure, no makeup skills, no taste in fashion and she had a lot of confidence. I stood there with a weak smile so I wouldn't make the woman feel bad.

"Welcome," I say to her, sitting down on the chair beside her. "Thank you, you must be Mohammad." She says in a flirty way. I chuckle at her behavior.

"Yes, I am. So what did he tell you?" I hear the bedroom door shut. Someone's coming, please let it not be Jabir. I pray in my mind because Jabir can't shut his mouth.

"Yes, he told me about the wedding proposal that you offered...". My mind was still focused on the feet that dragged their way down the stairs.

Sadeeq walked into the kitchen. "....to marry me for a certain amount of time." She says smiling. I nodded about to speak up when I got cut off.

"Inna lillahi wa Inna ilaihi rajiun!" Jabir shouts immediately after he sees her. He wore a vest with quarter shorts.

I hang my head because I know it has become a hopeless case. He composed himself, smiling at her. "And you are?"

"Um, I am the woman that was called by Moha so we could talk about our marriage." She says while he crossed his arms, grinning.

"Really?" He says raising an eyebrow. I try to signal him to shut up but he ignores me. She turned to look at me as I covered my mouth with my hand, looking at Jabir.

"It's best you go then."

"Why?" She asks. "No, it isn't that. I found a woman who got this earlier than you. I'm sorry for wasting your time." I try to let her down slowly.

She nods, taking her bag. "Okay, thank you for having me. Bye." She replies with a weak voice as she walks passed Jabir.

The door closes and I shout at him. "What is wrong with you?!"

"She needed the truth." Jabir sits down on the couch. "You're an imbecile, I swear." I throw a pillow at him as hard as I can.

He uses his arms to shield himself as he chuckles when my phone rings. It was a number I had never seen before.

"Hello?"

"Hello, this is Anisah Bashir. Is this Mohammad Tafida?" She asks.

"Yes, it is," I answer. "Great, can we talk?"
