Percy and I pulled our boards back onto the beach. I felt tiredness weighing down my limbs. "We were so lucky to find whales this early in the season", He shot me his iconic trouble maker smirk.
"can we some lunch seaweed brain, I'm hungry"
"Why are you calling me Seaweed brain". I pointed to his head were a bundle of seaweed sat in his jet black mop. he reached up and pulled the seaweed off.
"That nickname is not going to stick" he brandished the seaweed clump at me.
" I'm sure it won't seaweed brain" "oh I'm going to get you". he started to chase after me with the lump of seaweed. I was yelling for him to stay back you fiend. He was much faster than me and I found the clump of seaweed shoved down the back of my shirt.
not being one the surrender from a battle I pulled the seaweed out and threw it at Percy. it smacked him in the face.
while he distracted I bolted up to my beach house. I pulled open the front door and ran into the bathroom, I could hear Percy yelling about how he would get me. I began to run a bath to wash all the salt off of me.
I had just sunk into the tub heard I heard a knocking on the door.
"hey, Annabeth, I'm gonna head back to my beach house. come and get me once you're done so we can start some surfing.
my heart jumped like it had touched a live wire. I don't know why it did that but the prospect of seeing Percy later was great.
