I decided that today was a day for reading books, Percy had other ideas.

"come on Annabeth you can't just not come with me"

"its kinda weird because I really just can not come with you".

"is there anything I can do you have your mind."

Percy did his best puppy face, it worked.

"so what is your plan Seaweed brain"

"Come to town with me, it's my sister birthday soon and she is coming to visit me."

"So why must I come?"

Percy glances away quickly, he doesn't seem to have a good answer, a good enough answer to tell me.

"Okay seaweed brain I will come with you".

We both walked out to Percy's motorbike.

He slipped his helmet on and got onto the bike.

I don't have a motorbike helmet and if we are on the same bike then I will have to hold his waist and I was feeling slightly faint.

"You Coming?"

Percy patted the bike seat behind him.

"I-I..I don't have a helmet"

"You have a bike helmet" he point to my old bicycle and my helmet.

He makes a very good point and I was making nothing out of something.

I jumped into the seat behind him and gentle put my hands around his chest.

He Revved his motorbike and we turned out from my driveway and onto the road.

I got butterflies in my stomach as we sped up. Percy went around a sharp corner and tighten my grub to him and leaned into his back.

He smelled like a fresh breeze, ozone maybe like that fresh feeling after a rain.

I watched as the seaside views flew by us.

We got to the town much faster than I did when I biked.

More and more houses became visible as we closed in on the small seaside town of Jenner.

Percy pulled the bike to a stop next to the inn.

It was your basic tourist town. A hotel , a few cafes. all your basic small town things.

"So why come looking here?"

"I have made her necklace, kinda like yours, but I also want to get her a T-shirt of cute collectable thing."

It felt nice for Percy to remember about the necklace that lay on my chest, also how he cares so much about his step sister.

We walked onto a small seasode shop. Ist and all the little sea side trinkets, shells, Tshirts, fridge magnets and other small tacky choking hazards.

Percy decided on buying his sister a Leather Back sea turtle stuffed toy and a cap that was blue and had a whales tail on it. I though back to the only gift my mother ever gave me, just was a Yankee baseball cap from a time when the lived in New York.

I remember the words she said so vividly to me. She leaned down, her brown hair swaying around her cheekbones, her stern stormy eyes fixed into my ones, so similar to hers.

She placed into my small seven year old hands.
"remember Annabeth, don't be weak, no child of mine is weak, stay strong my child".

I never really saw her again after that and-

"hey Wise girl are you okay".

Percy waved his hand in front of me face.

"are you feeling alright".

He ripped his hand softy into mine. Tingles dancing around in my hands.

"you hands don't feel clammy but you do look a bit red".

He held his hands up to my face. One lay gently. On my fore head and the other cupped my face.

I felt like melting.

But I remembered my mothers words. "no child of mine is weak" and I snapped back.

"i-im fine"

I didn't want up but I pushed Percy hands off my face.

"really just- just thinking of somethings"

"okay, well while we are in town, do you wanna get lunch?"

I hadn't eaten a large breakfast and and stomach ached with hunger, I wanted to seem lady like and be Nonchalant about my appetite but I just said.

"sounds awesome"
