Percy took the lead running down the beach. Pipers hand held my wrist close, she was holding me back.
"What's up Pipes?"
"Annabeth how did you fail to mention a summer fling,THIS IS SOOO ROMANTIC AHHH I ANY HANDLE IT."
"Where is the Tom boy I know so well?"
"Look I'm all for independent woman and not needing a man but you guys have some strong chemistry and I can feel the attraction".
I felt a sinking in my gut. "So we are vibing"
Piper gave me a cheeky grin.
"VIBE CHECK".
She punched me in the gut, just hard enough to shock me. Sh ran off down the path as fast as her legs would take her.
"OH IM GONNA GET YOU FOR THAT MCLEAN".
Piper was halfway to the water when I came sprinting out of the grassy sand dunes.
A trail of clothing was caught in the wind as piper took off her shirt and shakier to revel a bikini underneath.
I was already planning to have a surf before she turned up so I followed suite.
"You weren't lying when you said you could swim, I'm so proud of my baby"
Piper draped her self over me and I began to sink deeper into the water with her.
My heart began to raced and I felt a panic clawing lungs and rib.
"You two are fast" I pushed piper off and looked up to see my olive skinned beauty strolling towards the water.
"May I joint you" Percy asked.
Piper resurfaced up from the water.
"No it's a girls only ocean" she splashed water at Percy.
"Hey piper you got my shirt wet".
Percy pulled his shirt off. I felt the head crawling up my face again and looked away.
Piper caught my eye, she winked and did and eyebrow wave and a kissy face.
She mouthed " I knew his face was pretty but dammmmmm girl you snagged a good one"
I just happy Percy couldn't see pipers mouth moving or I would have been mortified.
Percy ran into the water with the grace of a bay watch lifeguard .
"That was one of the best afternoons of my life"
Piper yelled as we walked back to her car. We all were messy haired and bundled in towels after a long time in the water.
"It's was a pleasure letting you Piper I hope to see you again" piper and Percy shook hands.
"I will see you soon piper I swear" then we hugged. I missed getting hugs from people I loved, I try to avoid physical contact mostly but long hugs are my guilty pleasure.
Percy and I waved as Piper pulled out and drives off down the road, kicking up dust into the dusk sunlight.
"We on to surf tomorrow Percy"
His sea green way glittered like the ocean surface.
"Always"
