~ Y/N ~

You laughed as you and Victoria ran back inside the hotel. You were completely drenched from the rain, which had started just after the movie in the conference room. It was the first Avenger's movie, and while you enjoyed it, you couldn't help but want to go play out in the rain. You were glad that Victoria wanted to as well.

"I love the rain," you said, running your fingers through your hair. You looked up at Victoria and saw her looking over your shoulder. You turned around and saw Tom looking at you. "O-oh," you stuttered. You quickly put your hands back by your side. "Hi."

"Hey," he said, laughing lightly. He gave you a once over. "You ok?"

"Oh yeah, I'm fine." You waved a hand dismissively in the air. "Just playing out in the rain." Tom laughed again.

"Sounds like fun."

"It was." A silence settled between the two of you. After a minute, Victoria cleared her throat from behind you.

"I think I'm going to go shower," she said, smirking at you.

"I'll be right up behind you-" you started, but she interrupted you.

"No, no, you stay here and talk. I take long showers." She flashed you another smile before disappearing around the corner toward the elevators.

"So. . . you like the rain?" Tom asked, rubbing the back of his neck. You nodded.

"Oh yeah." You looked out the large window. "It's my favorite."

"Do you go out in the rain a lot?"

"When it rains, sure." You looked back at him and saw him giving you a quizzical look, his head cocked to the side. "It doesn't rain much back home," you explained.

"Oh, I see." He looked back out the window. "Do you want to go back out?" You raised your eyebrow. "I don't think I've ever really played in the rain."

"What?!" You reached out and grabbed his arm. "Then let's go!" You led him outside, suddenly aware of the fact that you were still holding onto his arm. You quickly let go, pleased to see that it was still pouring rain. You stepped out, instantly being re-drenched. "Come on!" Tom looked around hesitantly before stepping out from the shelter of the hotel and into the rain.

You started dancing around, not caring that you were acting like a child. You heard Tom laugh behind you, and you turned around to see him dancing as well. You smiled at him as he moved toward you.

"This is fun," he said over the sound of the rain. You noticed water droplets on the ends of his hair.

"It's why I like it," you replied. Another silence fell between the two of you, until Tom suddenly closed the distance between you, pressing his lips against yours. His move surprised you.

But you were more surprised that you didn't move away.
