~ Tom ~

Tom's breath caught in this throat the moment he saw you. His mind went blank, and he suddenly lost his ability to speak. He couldn't imagine how he had forgotten you from the Brother's Trust event.

As you and your friend approached him, he felt his heartbeat quicken. He wiped his palms on his pants, sensing how suddenly clammy they were.

"Hi! I'm Victoria!" Tom shook Victoria's hand, forcing himself to look her in the eye.

"Hello, Victoria," he said. "It's a pleasure to meet you." Victoria beamed at him, and he turned his attention to you. "Tom," he said, holding out his hand.

"Y/N," you said, shaking his hand. Y/N, he thought. That's the most beautiful name I've ever heard.

"It's wonderful to meet you," he said, hoping his voice wasn't catching as much as he thought it was. You smiled at him, and his heart skipped a beat. "Shall we join the others?" You nodded and followed him into the dining area of the hotel. "The girls are here," he said. He gestured to the open seats at the long table.

"Great," Josh said. He smiled at Tom, but he barely noticed. Every second that he looked at you, you became more beautiful. "Tom?" Tom looked away from you and saw that Josh was gesturing for you to sit down.

"Oh, right." He laughed nervously and sat down across from you. You smiled at him, and he smiled back.

"Ok, guys, so obviously this situation is less than stellar," Josh began. "I'm not sure if any of you have checked the weather, but it's supposed to be really bad. From the looks of it, we'll be stuck here in the hotel because the roads will be flooded. We managed to get some things for you guys to do last night, but if I'm being honest, it will probably be somewhat boring."

Tom stole a glance at you, noticing how strands of your hair were falling from your hasty ponytail, how your shirt was hugging you, how simply stunning you were.

"Tom?" He snapped out of his head and looked back at Josh. "You good?"

"Yeah!" He smiled at Josh, who simply raised his eyebrow at you.

"Ok. . . well, why don't you take them to the conference room? We can go ahead and watch a movie."

"Sounds good." Tom stood up. "Let's go, guys!" The rest of the group stood up and left the dining room, following behind Tom.

"Is there going to be something to eat?" a voice asked from the back of the group.

"Oh yeah, we've got you guys covered," Tom answered, looking back over his shoulder. He caught you looking at him smiling, and he couldn't help but smile back.

Maybe this storm wouldn't be so bad.
