~ TOM ~
Tom smiled faintly as he slipped his phone back into his pocket. He had been keeping in touch with you since the Brother's Trust event, and he was glad that you always seemed to text back. Of course, there was always the chance that Zendaya or Haz might find out, but he figured that he was safe.
"Whatcha doing?" Haz asked, walking into the living room and practically falling onto the couch. Tom jumped at the sound of his voice.
"O-oh, nothing." He motioned to the TV. "Just aimlessly watching TV." Haz narrowed his eyes at Tom.
"You hear anything from that girl?" he asks, turning to his phone.
"What girl?" Haz rolled his eyes and looked up at Tom.
"You know what girl."
"I was making a joke." Tom cleared his throat. "You know, 'what girl'." He laughed nervously before quickly stopping. "No, I'm not talking to her."
"Hm." Haz returned to his phone just as Tom's buzzed. He pulled his phone out of his pocket and his face paled. "Who's that?" he asked when he didn't hear Tom respond to the notification.
"It's probably nothing," Tom replied, quickly shoving his phone back into his pocket so Haz wouldn't see your name. Haz looked back up.
"You ok, mate?" he asked. "You see really pale."
"No, no, I'm fine." Tom laughed nervously. "Everything's great."
"You sure?" Haz shook his head, concern on his face. "I think something's wrong." Tom stood up abruptly.
"I'm going to get something to drink," he said, walking to the kitchen. He grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and started the drink it.
"I thought you said you weren't still talking to her." Tom's eyes widen and he felt his back pocket, realizing that his phone wasn't there. He looked at Haz and saw him looking at him.
"It's nothing-" Tom began.
"Does Zendaya know?"
"What? Of course-"
"So if I show this to her, she won't be surprised?" Tom didn't answer.
"It's nothing," he finally said after a minute. Haz simply shook his head.
"Zendaya doesn't deserve this," he said. He tossed Tom's phone back onto the couch.
"Where are you going?"
"Out." He walked briskly to the front door and slammed it shut behind him. Tom winced at the sound and walked back to the couch. He grabbed his phone and sat down, burying his head in his hands.
"This is a mess," he mumbled. And he knew that he had no one to blame but himself.

A/N: Oof, this chapter was somewhat short, but to be honest, it's hard for me to make super long chapters.
