Chapter 5

"When is it finished papa?!" A young Y/n stared at the pot his grandpa was cooking
"You're really into cooking aren't you?" Old grandpa was chuckling at Y/n's enthusiasm of cooking
"Mhm! Creating something good and amazing is cool! And I hope one day I can cook just as good as you, so that I can cook for everyone can feel better with a good curry or something" Y/n ran everywhere playing with his playful cat while his grandpa was still cooking
"Well then if you want to be as good as me you'll have to practice a lot mister" he enjoyed looking at his grandson run around having fun.
"Wait really?! We can start now?!" Y/n's eyes brightened up as he was excited to finally cook after seeing his grandpa cook for him many times.
"After I finish your cooking your lunch, in the meantime why don't you go ask around if anyone has limes?"
"Oh! Of course papa, I'll be right back with those limes" Y/n ran straight out the door with his cat following besides him
"That boy is enthusiastic as always hehe" grandpa said to himself and chuckled at his grandsons enthusiasm

Y/n ran outside and giggled at the view of big fluffy clouds, the wind blowing gently at his face, and the grass moving along with the wind. He spotted his friends and ran over to them
"Hey guys!"
"O-h hey Y-Y/n..."
"Hey Y/n look at this frog we caught"
"U-uhm.. a frog? That's uh.. cool! But uhm I don't wanna really"
"Wanna hold him?"
"Well... I don't know I mean, I might make him mad or scared that he could run away"
"It's ok Y/n... I was scared at first but it's ok... he's nice..."
"No really it's ok I-" his friend Hanako, despite Y/n's obvious discomfort for frogs, she let the frog jump on him
"Ah! Get away from me!!!" Y/n was running away while the frog ran hopped over to him. Hanako was laughing at Y/n's crisis while his other friend Yato, was worried for Y/n and went over to pick up the frog so that Y/n wouldn't cry. Y/n out of breath walked back to the 2, Hanako laughing and Yato petting the frog.
"You guys... are mean~!" Out of breath Y/n yelled out while having tears in his eyes. Yato lets the frog back in the pond and approached Y/n and hugged him
"Sorry... we didn't know.."
"Yeah.. I didn't either, I'm sorry for teasing sunshine.." Hanako looked down in disappointment in herself and hugged Y/n, making a group hug
"I-I told you not to c-call me that Hanako.." Y/n pouted and sniffed looking at Hanako
"Why not? Your always so cheerful, you make everyone around you happy!"
"But that doesn't make me a sunshine.."
"Your always bright.. and usually a sunshine makes everything rise up..."
"Mhm! My daddy told me that without the sun, nothing can live without it! And we get vitamin D too, and it's important for us to have it. And it's important that everyone has a person like you in there lives"
"H-how come your so smart Hanako... I'm like the dumb one in the group.."
"No your not... your smart in your own ways Y/n.."
"Yeah like Yato said! Your smart in your own ways, you might be smarter at us then something we might be dumb at"
"What is something you like Y/n..?"
"Hm... well I like cooking, and actually my papa was going to teach me to cook today!"
"Oh! So then we'll get him cook books!!! Wait... did you say your papa is making food?! May we come along"
"Oh..! Uhm.. if there's enough ehehe" Y/n nervously giggled "oh but first-! Do any of you guys have limes? My papa needed some for my lunch" they both looked at each other shook their heads
"Maybe we can go and ask Mr.Tanaka?"
"But.. we don't have money..?"
"Hm.. maybe we could do a favor for him in return for some limes!"
"Yeah that might work! And with the three of us, I'm sure we can do it!"
The children agreed on a plan and raced to Mr.Tanaka's fields where eventually they would find him harvesting grapes

"Hello Mr. Tanaka!" The trio greeted the old farmer
"Oh hello there children, what can I do for you this fine afternoon?"
"Oh well.. I was sent to ask around for limes and we were wondering if maybe... you could give us some? We don't have money but we can help around-!"
"Oh so your grandpa sent you? Well I'm sure he's cooking something, so I won't take up much of your time Y/n. I will give you 4 limes if you can get a apple from my apple tree, this old man is quite hungry for a apple right now"
"An apple?! We can do more than that! We'll get you 4 apples Mr. Tanaka! C'mon guys let's go get those apples!!!" Y/n giggled and ran to the tree, while Yato just looked worried and sped walk his way to the tree as Hanako was racing Y/n

As the kids made there way to the hill, they looked at the big tree with apples that have fallen from the winds.
"Great! Let's just grab these on the floor and go back to get the limes!"
"No hanako... we shouldn't give Mr. Tanaka these apples, they look ugly. He's working hard in the fields, so he should have only the best apples!"
"So your saying we should actually get the ones on the tree..?"
"Exactly Yato!"
"How would we do that..?"
"Ok how about this... the tallest one has to carry the small one!"
They all agreed, and Yato had to carry Hanako since he was the oldest one in the group, then Hanako carried Y/n to help him grab the apples
"Can you see any apples there?"
"Hmm... no not yet, wait no I see one!"
"Hanako why are you so heavy..?"
"Hey! I'm not fat you jerk!!" Started to pull Yato's ear and cheek"
"But.. you weight like you are.."
"H-Hanako I'm gonna fall!!" Y/n was losing his balance as he didn't have Hanako's support
"Oh my gosh sorry sorry!!!" She stopped harassing Yato's face to help Y/n from falling
"Ok I see the apple let me just grab it... come on.. I got-" Y/n used all his strength to pull out the apple but fell along with Hanako
"Owie~!"
"Sorry Hanako.. maybe we shouldn't climb on each other.."
"Maybe we should actually climb the tree..?"
"But... I don't know how to climb trees, it's very hard to do!" Y/n pouted at Yato's suggestion
"Then maybe me and Yato can do it? We already got one apple so now we need three more!"
"Hm... well I can't climb a tree so.. I'll cheer you two on!" He giggled and Hanako petted him and smiled
"We'll get this done before you even blink Y/n~!"
"Woah really~?!"
"Yes really, we're just that good!"
After 5 minutes of struggling to climb the tree they finally got two apples down
"Just one more... I.. think I got it..?" Yato pulled the apple out the tree, but the tree branch he was around broke, and fell along with him and groaned.
"Yato are you ok?!"
"I'm sure he's fine, plus he didn't fall like us so now we are all equal"
Y/n helped Yato get up and helped him dust off his clothes and grabbed the apples
"Ok now let's go deliver these apples to Mr. Tanaka for those limes!"
The kids all ran down the hill except for Y/n who was carefully trying to carry the four apples without making them fall. The one who made it last to the old farmer was Y/n with his apples
"Here's the four apples we promised sir!"
"Oh wow, you actually brought four apples haha, I only asked for one"
"Well yeah.. but I thought that if we were gonna get four limes it would only be fair if we gave you four apples in return!" The old man chuckled at the children's dedication and enthusiasm to help in anyway they could. He gave them the four limes he promised and only grabbed one apple
"Eh..? But sir.. what about the other three apples..?"
"Keep them, they're for you three to enjoy. Thank you children I thought I was gonna have to work hungry."
Y/n giggled and nodded "no problem Mr. Tanaka, but we have to go now my grandpa has been waiting!"
"Of course, see you children later"
"Bye!!!" They left in a hurry and ran as if they haven't lost any energy

"Grandpa I brought the limes!"
"Oh? About time. What crazy adventures did you go on now mister?"
"Hello.."
"Hi Mr. L/n!"
"And I see you brought your friends in here too, hello children"
"We ran an errand for Mr. Tanaka!"
"What kind of errand?"
"Well we got him apples.."
"And he gave us three of them"
"Ah I see well thank you kids for bringing the limes"
Grandpa grabbed the limes from Y/n's little hands and cut them in half and used one to squeeze, and get the lime juice into the fish to give it more flavor
"There you go, your lunch is ready Y/n"
"Mmm... thank you papa but I think I'll give it to these guys"
"Wait really?!"
"Are you for real..?"
Y/n grabbed the plate and handed it over to Yato and Hanako
"Mhm you guys deserve it! And when I practice I'll just make myself something, so you better share equally and enjoy ok?"
"Mhm! Of course Y/n!!!" Hanako kissed Y/n's cheek and ran outside with the plate and Yato just hugged him and ran.
Y/n giggled and Waved goodbye
"Ok are you ready to train on your cooking?"
"Mhm! Yes I am papa!" Y/n giggled and hugged his grandpa's leg as his grandpa gave him a warm smile
