POV Mitch
"Do I really have to say that?" Avi asked me with a chuckle.
After a short walk, Avi and I ended up going to the mall for a bit to chill and maybe do more shopping (no, not maybe, definitely do more shopping). Currently, were sitting at a table at this Italian restaurant we found. The food we ate here was amazing; better than I ever expected and Avi seemed to agree. I ordered alfredo with garlic bread, a light salad, and a water on the side. It was to die for. Avi just got this huge plate filled with spaghetti and meatballs and inhaled it like the giant child he was. You can tell he enjoyed it quite a bit judging the tomato sauce left in his beard.
It was only about 2:30 at that point and we still had a bit of time before our soundcheck so we decided to hang out here and chat for a little while longer. Out of nowhere Avi asked what it meant to be a 'hunty' and I swear I almost burst out laughing. It was so random; he said he had been reading some of my tweets lately and was curious. I thought it might be fun to teach him how to be one.
I nodded with alacrity, "Yes! How else do you expect to be a hunty?" I said with a shrug. It was so much fun to embarrass Avi like that.
I saw the blush creep up on his face as his eyes darted around the room. The restaurant wasn't completely full but there were quite a few people, and a lot surrounded us. I bit my lip in anticipation. Avi let out a sigh.
"Slay, hunty, werk! Drag ha, yaasss!" He said. It loud enough for at least half of the restaurant to look in our direction. Out of embarrassment, the bass took his beanie and pulled it almost entirely over his face to hide. I laughed out loud, clapping my hands.
"Yas queen!" I joked, putting my hand up to my face giving him the peace sign.
After a while Avi must've been running out of air because he fixed his beanie back to the way it was. I giggled and rubbed his arm in a comforting manner. He gave me the signature superfrown and I stuck out my bottom lip in a fake pout. Then he couldn't help but laugh as well.
"Well, now that I've been sufficiently embarrassed," he said with a smile, I bit my bottom lip to stop myself from laughing more. "I wanna know, is everything between you and Scott okay?" He turned serious and looked me in the eye, making me want to shrink away.
I felt a little bit awkward with Avi looking at me in that way. "Oh yeah, definitely." I tugged on the collar of my shirt.
He arched a brow. "Are you positive?" I furrowed my brows and groaned.
"I'm assuring you right now there's nothing wrong, Goddamn." I said, sounding more annoyed than I meant to. I huffed while brushing a stubborn strand of hair out of my face. I chose to ignore the embarrassing events from last night and only focused on the positive things. During the times that day when I was sober and I wasn't stressed out, we had so much fun. I still couldn't help but wonder where he went off to today.
Avi frowned and scratched his head. "Well... Alright. I just don't like seeing you guys fight."
I gave him a small smile, showing my teeth. "I really appreciate it but you don't even have to worry about it. Scott and I are too in love; that brief argument was just a once in a lifetime thing. Again, I do appreciate the concern."
Avi slowly nodded. "I understand."
A little while later, we paid our bill and left to get ready for the sound check at 5. I wanted to actually doing my hair instead of just settling for a beanie.
"So... Does this make me a hunty now?"
I stopped walking and snickered. I looked him up and down and put a hand on my chin as if I were deep in thought. "Well your outfit isn't exactly all that avant-garde per say but..." I began, putting air quotes around 'avant-garde', "Eh." I gave a small shrug.
Avi superfrowned me again. I playfully shoved him. We continued on our walk outside and back to the hotel, side by side.

A/N: Yeah, yeah, I know, this chapter is pretty much just pointless filler but I've had literally no inspiration at all for this lately (which is why I haven't updated this in like 3-4 weeks as you can imagine). I really tried to create something worthwhile but that was ultimately a fail :P. So yeah, at least you get something, it's better than nothing at all. Enjoy brief Mitch and Avi Brotp moment!
