Obanai x Mitsuri Pt. 1

Mitsuri Kanroji is a Love Hashira while Obanai Iguro is a Snake Hashira. It may not be obvious to some but Obanai has had a crush on Mitsuri for quite a long time.

He has given Mitsuri a number of gifts as to gain her attention. However, the Love Pillar has yet to notice his feelings for her. Though, Shinobu has noticed this but never said anything.

Today is just another ordinary day. Obanai and his snake, Kaburamaru are just walking around town when Obanai sees Mitsuri. He blush at the mere sight of her. He couldn't bring himself to confess to her.

Kaburamaru hissed and Obanai simply pat its head. Obanai then decided to approach Mitsuri. "Kanroji" He called. Mitsuri turns and smiles at Obanai, causing him to blush.

"Iguro-kun! What a nice surprise!" Mitsuri exclaims. "Y-Yeah... W-Why're are you here?" Obanai questioned. "Oh, just buying some gifts. Oh yeah! Here's yours!" Says Mitsuri as she took out a snake emblem or something.

"For me?" Mitsuri eagerly nods and although she couldn't see, she could tell that Obanai was smiling. "A-Arigato Kanroji" Obanai says and Mitsuri giggles. "You're cute when you're blushing!"

This made Obanai flustered and he could even sense that Kaburamaru was giving him mischievous and teasing looks. "It's getting late. Let's head back" says Obanai. "Alright then" says Mitsuri and the two headed back together.

Some days later, Oyakata-sama called upon Obanai and Mitsuri to go and slay some demons. Luckily, it wasn't a demon moon but it was still considered a strong demon.

Reports were that the demon has been kidnapping young, gorgeous woman. Mitsuri and Obanai then sets off to the town where rhe demon was sighted. "You know Iguro-kun, it's been really long since we went on a mission together" says Mitsuri.

"I guess... How long has it been?" Obanai wonders. "I'm pretty sure it was before I became a Hashira. That was the first time I went on a mission with you" says Mitsuri and Obanai smiles at the memory.

Ever since Mitsuri fought alongside him, he has been falling for her since. Even if she doesn't notices it, he is hoping that one day Mitsuri will return his feeling. After some time, Mitsuri and Obanai arrived at the town.

"Looks like this is the town" says Mitsuri. "Let's keep watch" says Obanai and Mitsuri nods. Mitsuri and Obanai then separate ways even if deep down, Obanai didn't want to leave her side.

Mitsuri's Pov:

I went to the west of the town where there is a forest which made me quite suspicious. After telling Iguro-kun, I went to the west forest. As I search around, I heard some rustling.

I prepared myself by grabbing my Nichirin sword. However, it was only Obanai. "Iguro-kun?! You scared me!" I exclaimed. "Sorry" He simply says and I let out a sigh of relief.

"But I thought you were guarding at the east?" I ask. "I was but I couldn't leave you alone" He says and I blushed. Kyaaaa! Does he mean he want to protect me?! Does he like me?! Oof! Mitsuri, don't get any ideas!

"Then let's guard together!" I exclaimed and he simply nods. We guarded together for a few hours ane I was getting sleepy. I turn to Iguro-kun and I realized something. "Wait..." Oh dear, I've let my guard down.

I slowly prepared to unsheathe my Nichirin when 'Iguro-kun' suddenly appeared in front of me. "I don't think it's a good idea to draw out that sword" I glared. "You're not Iguro-kun! You must be the demon!" I said. "Very well but now die!"

Obanai's Pov:

For some reason, I've been feeling uneasy. Like something is happening to Kanroji. And Kaburamaru has been hissing at me which I didn't understand why.

After a few minutes, I decided to abandon the place I was guarding and went to look for Kanroji. I'm extremely worried. When I arrive, I tried to sense where she is.

Just when I heard the bushes rustle, I prepared to draw out my sword. The figure appear and turn out to be Kanroji. I slowly put back my sword but Kaburamaru hissed, telling me that something is wrong.

I decided to trust Kaburamaru and keep on guard. "Kanroji, I see that you're safe" I said and she smiles. Something is definitely different. The Kanroji in front of me... Isn't the same Kanroji whom I fell for.

"Iguro, how nice of you to come and see me. I'm fine" She says. I immediately drew out my sword and she gasped. "I-Iguro? What're you doing?" 'Kanroji' ask. "Where is Kanroji?" I ask.

"What do you mean? I'm in front of you" She says and I scoffed with a glare. "The Kanroji I know has never called me 'Iguro' so casually before. Who are you and what have you done to the real Kanroji?" I ask.

The Kanroji in front of me laughs and she suddenly transform into a demon. I see, a shapeshifting demon. "Where is Kanroji?" I ask again. The demon smirks and attacked me rather than answering me.

"Breath of Serpent. Fifth  form.  Slithering Serpent" I then slash the demon across the arm on purpose. If I had instantly kill it, I'll never know where Kanroji is. "Spill it demon. Where's Kanroji and the kidnapped women?" I ask coldly.

"I'll devour you first before you can see them!" It said and it decided to pounce on me. For a moment, I had nearly lost control of my emotions. There's no way Kanroji is dead. "If you don't tell me, I'll keep slicing you till you can't regenerate" I threatened.

My grip on my sword tightened. This demon is trying to provoke me. "You're really not going to say?" I ask. "No way!" The last straw. I charged forward. "Oops! You missed! Look, if you kill me you'll never know where you're precious woman is!" It said and I stooped.

The demon smirked. "I have rhe ability to read minds of whoever I shapeshift to" It said. My eyes widen. It must have transform into me and now Kanroji is missing. "What have you done to Kanroji?" I ask.

"You keep asking the same question. Guess you really love her" My grip tightened. "Breath of Snake. Fifth form. Slithering Serpent" It missed. Damn, it's because I can't concentrate.

"Iguro-kun!" My eyes widen and turn behind me. Kanroji, and the other kidnapped girls. Now that I know she's safe, I can focus on my fight. I smiled behind my mask. "Protect the girls... Mitsuri"

Mitsuri's Pov:

I opened my eyes to find myself in a jail room with a number of girls. "Hey, may I know what happened to you all?" I ask. The girl look into my eyes and my gaze softened.

Their soul seemed broken. "Some monster kidnapped us. They posed as our lovers. When we woke up, we were here and that monster harrassed us sexually" The girl says while crying. I clench my fist tight. This demon is sick!

"That monster had killed some girls before because they resisted. We couldn't escaped" cried another. "Don't worry, I'll get us out of here" I assured them. "How?" Another ask and I smiled. "My companion will be out there fighting so we will break out of here" I said.
