Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba One Shot

You and Zenitsu Agatsuma are childhood friends. The two of you have been training together despite him being a crybaby. But you loved him from your heart but you never confessed to him.

Your family was slaughtered by a Lower Moon but somehow, you were spared alive. The former Thunder Hashira, Jigoro Kuwajima found you and took you in.

That's when you met Zenitsu who's a year older than you but acts like years younger than you. You also met Kaigaku who is friendly to you but mean to Zenitsu because of his timidness.

You manage to master all six breaths of Thunder but Zenitsu couldn't. Seeing that you had the potential before Zenitsu, Jigoro sent you to the Final Selection, much to Zenitsu's despair.

After you passed the Final Selection, you became the youngest Hashira and then later the second youngest when Muichiro Tokito joines as he is a year younger than you.

Some years later, you were 15 and you were being sent out on a mission along with Shinobu Kocho (Insect Hashira) and Giyu Tomioka (Water Hashira) to Natagumo Mountain.

A Lower Moon Five was sighted and you three headed there. Thinking it might be the one who slaughtered your family, you decided to go. "Let's split up" says Giyu. You and Shinobu nodded before parting ways.

You took the center path while Shinobu took the right and Giyu the left. While searching around, you suddenly heard a scream. Your eyes widen. You had recognize that scream anywhere. "Zenitsu..."

You quicken your speed and went to where Zenitsu might be. Since he also uses Thunder Breathing, you could easily locate him. When you finally found him, he was crying and whining as usual but he's against a spider demon.

"Breath of Thunder. First style. Thunderclap Flash!" You speed across and cut the spider demon but you missed its neck. You scoffed but went to Zenitsu's side. "Zenitsu! Are you alright?" You ask.

"Y-Y/N-chan! I-I am so happy to see you! Please save me!" Zenitsu cries while hugging you, still whining. "Z-Zenitsu, focus and stop whining!" You said and Zenitsu reluctantly let's you go.

"Y/N-chan..." "If you don't want to fight... It's okay. I'll protect you" You said and turn to face the spider demon. "Breath of Thunder. Fourth style. Distant Thunder!" You then released multiple ranged strikes towards the spider demon.

However, it was fast in avoiding all of it, much to your shock. "Your attacks can't hit me! Poison Sputum!" Says the spider demon. The spider demon suddenly spit out a purple web towards you.

"Argh!!" You yelled with pain. "Y/N-chan!" Zenitsu immediately rushes to your side but you stopped him. "Don't come closer!" You said. "But—" "I know you Zenitsu... I get that you don't want to fight" You said and slowly stand up.

"I'll handle him. Breath of Thunder. Second style. Lightning Ball!" You generated five straight attacks around the spider demon. Zenitsu was stunned. You were strong.

Zenitsu watches you battle against spider demon despite being poison. "Y/N-chan..." Zenitsu grips onto his Nichirin sword tightly. He wants to help you but he couldn't.

Zenitsu suddenly feel asleep out of nowhere, much to your surprise. "Zenitsu!" You couldn't go near him as you were busy fighting against the demon. "Breath of Thunder. First style. Thunderclap Flash"

You were surprised when Zenitsu suddenly came slashing across the demon even if it didn't hit the neck. "Z-Zenitsu?" The Zenitsu in front of you is different. "That brat, he seems like a different person" the spider demon mumbles.

"I won't let you hurt Y/N-chan" says Zenitsu. "Zenitsu..." "Breath of Thunder. First style. Thunderclap Flash" Again, Zenitsu used the same move. "Poison Sputum!"

You pushed Zenitsu out of the way and you groaned when the poison was on you. "Y/N-chan!" Zenitsu runs to you. "Zenitsu... Run... You can't defeat him" You said. "I won't run. If it's to protect you" He says.

You look at Zenitsu's face. His eyes were closed. You were confused. It's like he's a different person while asleep. But somehow, you liked this side of him.

"Zenitsu..." The spider demon proceed to wanting to kill yoh and Zenitsu. You tried to move your body but it was already numb. "Zenitsu, you can't defeat him. Run... Please" You pleaded. You didn't want Zenitsu to die.

"I won't run Y/N-chan" Zenitsu says firmly as he hovers over you. Tears were flowing as both of you braced for the death. "Breath of Insect. Dance of the Bee Sting: Mere Fluttering" In an instant, the spider demon was dead.

You smiled. "Shinobu-san..." Your eyes then gave up on you as you fell unconscious. When you woke up, you were at the Butterfly Estate. You jolted when you remembered what happened.

"Zenitsu!" You look around and instantly panicked when you couldn't find him. You ran out of your room, ignoring whatever wounds you had and went looking for Zenitsu.

You finally found him and you let out a sigh of relief. Yoh immediately engulf him in a hug which he was taken aback. "Y/N-chan! You're awake! And you shouldn't be moving around" says Zenitsu.

"Zenitsu... I'm so glad you're safe! Thanks for protecting me! Sorry for telling you to run away!" You stated crying out. "Ehh? I protected you?" Zenitsu questions.

"Didn't you?" You ask and Zenitsu had a confused face. But you shake it off and hug him. "Whatever... Thank you Zenitsu" You said. "Ahhh! Y/N L/N! You shouldn't be walking around with tour wounds!" Aoi Kanzaki scolded.

You parted away from Zenitsu and sheepishly grinned. Aoi sighs. "Shinobu-sama will get worried. Now go back to your room!" Says Aoi. "Alright alright. Bye Zenitsu, I'll see you later" You said.

After you had recovered from your wounds, you went to take a look at Zenitsu's functional recovery training. You giggled at his face. "Y-Y/N-chan, don't laugh!" Zenitsu pouts. "You'll bare with it Zenitsu" You said and he sighs.

When Zenitsu finally gotten a break, you went to catch up with him. You teared when Zenitsu said that Jigoro had committed seppuku when Kaigaku betrayed him. "Jii-chan..." You cried and Zenitsu hugs you.

"At least... I'm still here Y/N-chan" says Zenitsu. "Thank you Zenitsu... I love you" You said and Zenitsu quietly gasp at your confession. Zenitsu smiles. "I love you too Y/N-chan and I promise, I'll work harder to protect you!" Says Zenitsu.

You chuckled. "Whatever works your way" You said. After that, Zenitsu happily brags to Inosuke and Tanjiro about having you as his girlfriend much to your embarrassment but you still love this dork.
