Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba One Shot

AU: Zenitsu x Nezuko

Zenitsu Agatsuma is a victim of being bullied at school. Also because he has a really timid personality which makes him easier to pick on. This has been going on for about 2 years.

Nezuko Kamado is the younger sister of Tanjiro Kamado. Nezuko tends to witness Zenitsu getting beat up but she couldn't approach him. Because his bully has a crush on her.

Today is another ordinary day. Zenitsu was getting ready for school. "Zenitsu, are you not out yet?" Zenitsu's adoptive Grandfather, Jigoro Kuwajima, ask. "C-Coming" says Zenitsu.

Zenitsu grabs his school bag and after saying goodbye to Jigoro, he left for school. Zenitsu is a student at Yaiba Academy and anyone would be proud to be studying there. Anyone except Zenitsu.

"Oi crybaby, take this!" Yells an oh-so familiar voice. Zenitsu turns around and got hit by his bully's bag. "K-Kaigaku" Zenitsu mumbled his name. "Now take Kaigaku-sama's bag to his classroom. Don't you dare drop it" Kaigaku threatened.

Kaigaku leaves while bumping into Zenitsu's shoulder. Zenitsu sighs and quickly goes to Kaigaku's classroom. Meanwhile, a girl with pink eyes was watching them intensely.

When school ended, Zenitsu was dragged to a corner of the school and getting beaten up by Kaigaku. This was normal. It's been happening for the past 2 years.

"That's it for today" Kaigaku says. He then left with his two jocks, leaving Zenitsu there heavily injured. When Kaigaku left, Zenitsu tries to stand up but failed. Just then, a figure appeared before him.

He glances up and is shock to realized who it is. "N-Nezuko-chan?" Nezuko gave Zenitsu a sad look. She bends down to meet his eye level and she touches his cheek which he flinched with pain.

"Does it hurt?" Nezuko ask. "I'm sorry you had to see me in that state" Zenitsu says as he tries to stand up again but failed. This time, with Nezuko supporting him.

"Let's get you treated and you can't say no" says Nezuko sternly as she brings Zenitsu to the infirmary. After arriving at the infirmary, Nezuko grabbed the first aid kit and tended to Zenitsu's wounds, with him occasionally flinching.

Nezuko's Pov:

"There, all done" I said after putting on the last bandage on Zenitsu's nose. "A-Arigato Nezuko-chan" says Zenitsu. "Zenitsu-san, has Kaigaku been bothering you?" I ask.

Zenitsu gives me a look before avoiding eye contact with me. "I'm fine Nezuko-chan, no need to worry" says Zenitsu with a forced smile. I frowned. "Zenitsu-san, please don't lie to me" I said.

"Nezuko-chan..." "Tell me the truth Zenitsu-san, I want to help you" I said. "Help me? How can you help me? Why would you want to help a timid and coward crybaby?" Zenitsu ask.

Does Zenitsu think himself this way? Then he's wrong! "Zenitsu-san, I want to help you. You're strong deep down in your heart and that's why I like you!" I said. Zenitsu looks at me with his eyes widen.

"Nezuko-chan... Is it true?" Zenitsu ask. "I've liked you since you helped me that day. I would never forget it..." I said.

It was 2 years ago, when I first started attending Yaiba Academy. I was supposed to be by my brother Tanjiro's side but I somehow got lost.

"O-Onii-chan?" I started to get worried. With this many students, I can't find my brother anywhere! I started to feel a little scared. That is when a bou approached me.

He had the finest golden hair that matched his golden eyes. "Hey there, you seem lost" He says. "I can't find mt brother" I said and he nods. "I'll help you. Who's your brother?" He ask.

"Tanjiro Kamado" I said. "Oh, so you're Nezuko-chan! Tanjiro's been talking about you! Come on, he got worried when you went missing!" He exclaims.

He grab my hand and brought me to where my brother is. "Nezuko! I was worried about you! You're not a little girl anymore so don't get lost!" Says Onii-chan. "Gomen Onii-chan" I said and he pats my head and smiled.

"It's okay. And Zenitsu, thanks for finding my sister" says Onii-chan. "No worries" says Zenitsu. So his name is Zenitsu... And since that day, I've started to like him.

"Oh, you mean that day" says Zenitsu and I nodded. "Zenitsu-san please, tell me what has Kaigaku did to you?" I ask and Zenitsu sighs. "He's been bullying me for the past 2 years" I gasp.

"W-Why would he do that?! Isn't he your, I don't know? Brother or something?" I ask and Zenitsu had a shock face. "H-How did you know? I mean, Kaigaku is my adoptive older brother..." Says Zenitsu.

"I saw you two one day. You entered the house with a blue roof and then Kaigaku" I stated. "Yeah... We're living with our Grandfather" says Zenitsu. "Zenitsu-san, why is Kaigaku bullying you?" I ask.

"It's because I'm a weak, timid and coward crybaby" says Zenitsu and I clench my hands. "Zenitsu-san, you're not weak! I know you're strong!" I said and Zenitsu chuckled bitterly.

"I'm not strong. Guess I'll never get a girl. I mean, who would like a boy who is weak and timid and—" "I do Zenitsu-san! I love you!" I said and Zenitsu's eyes widen.

"Thanks for loving me Nezuko-chan" says Zenitsu and I was blushing. "There is another reason why Kaigaku bullies me" My face became serious when Zenitsu said that. "It's because Kaigaku likes you too"

The next day, I immediately went to look for Kaigaku. "Kaigaku!" I yelled his name. Kaigaku turns and give me a smile. "Hi Nezuko-chan!" He says and I scoffed.

"Listen here Kaigaku, stop bullying Zenitsu-san!" I said and his face changed. "Did that brat tell on me to you?" He ask. "If so what? What're you going to do about it? Stop bullying him! I hate bullies!" I yelled and Kaigaku had a shock face.

"N-Nezu—" "Enough Kaigaku! Listen, I love Zenitsu-san from the bottom of my heart. I can never love you. I'm sure there'll be someone out there who will love you. That someone isn't me" I said. "But Nezuko-chan..."

"Kaigaku, there's a saying in cases of love triangles and when the person has found the one they love. The saying is 'If you love that person, you have to let that person go'.

Tell me Kaigaku, would you rather be selfish? You being happy while me being upset? Or you see being happy?" I ask and Kaigaku remained silent. "Of course I want you to be happy" Kaigaku mumbles.

"Kaigaku, I really love Zenitsu-san. I'm sorry if I can't return your feelings" I said. Kaigaku sighs. "Nezuko... Thanks. I guess I just needed some lecture in my brain. I-I'll try to move on" says Kaigaku.

"And one more thing, apologize to Zenitsu... You're like his older brother and siblings shouldn't fight like this" I said. "I understand Nezuko... Arigato... Then, can we at least be friends?" Kaigaku ask.

I smiled. "Of course!" Kaigaku smiled. "If Zenitsu ever makes you cry, you can always come to me" He says and I giggled. "No problem Kaigaku" I said.

Normal Pov:

After Nezuko had talked to Kaigaku, he decided to apologize to Zenitsu which was really difficult for him to say it. When he finally did, Zenitsu did find it hard to accept it.

However, after Nezuko persuaded him, Zenitsu decided to forgive him. Zenitsu and Nezuko then reconfess their feelings for each other and have started to date. Of course Tanjiro sort of approved... But he trusted Zenitsu that he'll make his sister happy.
