After me, my Pegasus, the other girl, and I think it was Kodiak, had run away from the wolf, we eventually find a small clearing on an Island and split up to check it for monsters. When we met back up the girl yelled over to me "It's safe to land!" I gave a thumbs up. 

After we landed we made camp, but we did not have anything to sleep on so we slept under our Pegasus's wings, but while we were trying to get some sleep, I started asking the girl some questions. 

"What's your name? What happened? How did you two meet?" The girl laughed and said "One at a time! My name is Onyx Hill, and me and Kodiak met after my mom turned into a wolf, and tried to eat me." I laughed, but it was only to try and lighten the mood. 

Then it was Onyx's turn to ask some questions. "What's YOUR name? And where did you meet Kestrel?"

"My name is Dakota and hold up, who is Kestrel?"

"You don't know her name?"

"Uh no, I can't understand her. She is a horse." Then "Kestrel" wacks me over the head with her wing, clearly, she did not like being called a horse. "Ouch, ok, ok I am sorry!" I said. Kestrel snorted and it sounded as if she was laughing. Then I answered Onyx's other question, "First, I met her when Medusa turned my dad to stone. And how do you know her name is Kestrel?"

"Uhh, I can understand what they are saying, like right now Kestrel is saying that she wants apples" I snorted, "Pfft really Kestrel? You just ate. And you can really hear them!? I wish I could do that..." 

 Onyx gave me a look of sympathy, then she said: "Yeah, well maybe when we find out who our fathers are then you can ask someone for it."

"I don't think that's how it works-"

"Whatever, let's get to bed, I will take first watch." Onyx got up and grabbed a makeshift spear she had made with a stick and a sharp rock tied on the tip, and went to stand over near the dying fire. 

My eyes started getting tired, and eventually, I fell asleep. A few hours later I woke to shouting and a burst of orange and yellow in my face. I jumped up and grabbed a stone that I had was next to me, at first I thought it was joke, then I saw that Onyx was fighting a massive black wolf with red eyes, her Pegasus, Kodiak, was helping her by kicking away any other black wolfs that got near her. 

Onyx looked toward me and yelled "Dakota, they took Kestrel!" Her eyes were brimmed with tears and I could tell she was trying not to cry, my mouth swung open in shock, I used my rage to take out a few wolves with my rock. I grabbed a sharpened stick that I had made the other night and stabbed a wolf with it. Instead of falling down dead, it disappeared into a pile of black dust that blew away in the wind. 

Before I knew it, the clearing was up in flames and most of the wolves were gone, besides the ones that had dragged Kestrel away. 

Me and Onyx went back to back and started taking wolves down one by one. But then things went more wrong than they already were. 

Medusa came flying down from the smoke infested sky and started killing wolves and getting closer to me and Onyx, Kodiak was making his way over to us when Medusa spotted him. I yelled "No one look at Medusa!!" 

We all covered our eyes and me and Onyx ran over to Kodiak and jumped on his back. Then we flew away, as I looked back I could see the wolves circle Medusa and pounce, I closed my eyes but I knew she would turn to dust. I hugged Onyx as we flew toward the mainland in the distance.
