She was one

One year had passed since she woke up in this body.

One year had passed since she began living as Raven Stellaris, the villainess of a certain otome game...or so she assumed.

She didn't know the name of the game.

Or the plot.

Or the characters.

Basically, her knowledge of this world stopped at the fact that she was in an otome game.

How, you ask? How can someone with such little knowledge know where she is?

Well....you're right....is what she'd like to say.

However.....

Where else would you find such rediculously good looking characters, this world setting and character setting, huh?!?!

Some could argue it was a manga or anime instead.

She wouldn't argue against that.
But ....the manga probably had something to do with otome games as it's theme.

Though it's true she never liked otome games, she couldn't say the same for the manga about it.

Isekai became a genre she came to enjoy.

C*mmon sense of a d*ke's d*ughter, the reincarnated princess strikes down *****, etc etc.

So she knew a thing or two about them

World similar to medieval Europe?

Check

Good looking characters?

Check

Those were the basis for most otome games

She had hoped for there to be magic in it, but alas, there was no such luck.

Maybe it was for the best though.

Depending on the otome game, the villainess character was usually either really talented, or completely inept at it, it usually being the latter, so it was better to not risk it. And lets not even talk about the heroine's all having op magical abilities(usually something to do with light)                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          As to how she knew she was a villainess? Well, one look at her reflection already told her she was no ordinary character.

Let her elaborate

In otome games, it was usually basic knowledge for there to be a lot of good looking characters, but if they were especially sparkly and female, then that usually only meant one thing.

Villainesses

They were the only ones allowed to be prettier than the heroine, after all.

Basically, it went like this.

Sparkly and pretty?

(☞゚ヮ゚)☞Villainess

Plain looking?

(☞゚ヮ゚)☞Heroine

And no face at all?

(☞゚ヮ゚)☞Cannon fodder

And sometimes even haroine's didn't have faces, so there's that....

And one look at people's faces when interacting with her was all she needed to know she was considered cute by this worlds standards.

Which was the same as modern day standards back in her own world...

...but in an European setting.

That, and the fact that she had dark raven coloured hair with really dark violet natural highlights and same but lighter coloured eyes with indigo streaks made her pretty sure about her villainess status, because heroine's where usually brunettes, blonds and black being the only other variant.

"Haa...."

This sounded like many of the reincarnation stories she had read

*Sigh* No originality at all.

Whoever decided this and put her here probably doesn't have that much imagination.

Usually stories like this never disclosed why they had reincarnated, and the ones that did where because the mc had died prematurely by saving someone, and so rewarded by God for their good deed.

There were other reasons, of course, but she realised that those were usually the main two.

Then...was she brought here by "God"?

She shook her head at that thought.

Impossible

She was just an ordinary person. She never did anything really praise worthy.

" I mean, i guess i recycled...?"

But never something to the extent that would guarantee a god's blessing.

So, why was she there?

Was she here to change the plot?

Save the second male lead? The villain?

The country...?

Was she...was she sent here to....correct the plot?

AS IF

The most probable reason would be I ended up here thanks to a fluke or something.

None the less... It still makes one wonder.

As a modern person who believes in science, she naturally believed in  aliens.

It wouldn't be a lie if she said that one of her theories was her soul travelling through a worm hole into the body of an infant in a planet far away from the solar system.

However...the life forms there were exactly the same, albeit some slight variations in colour, but other than that, there were no other physical differences.

And there were also plants, which, shouldnt really exist if the atmosphere was different.

Of course, some coincidences could still be overlooked, but as cool as that theory would've been, she threw it away as soon as she noticed the customs and similarities to her old world in this one

The style was European, of that she was sure.

In the mid XVIII century?

The style was similar to rococó...but much more pompose.

It could still be a coincidence if the formation of the planet went through similar phases, but the aesthetic?

So that's how she got to theory no° 2

A parallel universe.
