She was five now

That meant she had long left the crib and was now allowed to walk around (though always accompanied)

And that, in turn, meant she had more chances to explore this world and the people in it.

And the things she discovered....where both good and bad.

Once she was able to talk, her mother-or the one of the body she was inhabiting at least- started visiting more often.

Lycoris Radiata

A refined and slim woman.

Gorgeous.

She had purple hair- not like Raven, hers was more of a very dark indigo with slightly violet streaks here and there, while Lycoris' was more of a vibrant purple.

She sported slightly upturned orange eyes with long and dark lashes.

But however beautiful her eyes were, Raven couldn't help but feel... something off

However, she had brushed it off

They would meet regularly and talk about the most trivial things, at least to lycoris- to Raven, it was an important source of information, after all, the outlook of a noble on certain matters is bound to be more profound than that of commoners.

That was in the best of cases

Others....it really was very trivial talk.

She would often tell her about her father. About how wonderful he was, and how lucky she was to have both of us in her life.

That in itself was pretty normal, so it didn't occur to her that she was....that, until she met the man herself.

And that's the thing. The man never appeared. Never checked in to see how his baby daughter was doing. The only thing I knew about him came from either my mother or the maids, so when I first saw him, my first thought was "ah, he must be a guest" which wouldn't have been strange, seeing as she'd seen lots of well dressed people coming and going out of their mansion.

However, when he first asked
"So this is her?"
She didn't know why, but she immediately felt...disturbed.

Maybe it was his eyes, looking at her as if she wasn't even worth breathing the same oxygen as him. The way his lips lifted in a slight grimace, barely noticeable. Or the way his aparantly everlasting frown increased ever so slightly when their eyes met.

Whichever one of those were, it left...an unpleasant aftertaste

She was four at that time, just last summer.

She had been playing in the garden(she says playing, but in reality she was looking at the plants. They were all the same to her past life, which came as a huge relief, since she didn't want to have to gather knowledge on even plants from the beginning.

It would have been very bad if one day she ate something poisonous just because it looked like something edible from her past life.

Of course, she asked her nannies after just in case- and as to why she didn't go to the library; what sane four year old would go to the library just to look up plants. Especially in this world, where knowledge wasn't deemed as that important, especially in woman(those sexists, I know))

Back to the point.

She just happened to be admiring the marigolds to put them in tea for her "mother", since she learned in her past life that marigolds had an immune-boosting formula.

Her "mother" had always been easy to catch fevers, so she hoped this would help.

That's when she realised someone important was coming, as all the servants at her side suddenly stood straight and bowed.

She looked up to the figure to see a handsome man of about mid twenties to early thirties, midnight blue hair and dark blue eyes identical to hers....except they seemed colder, and hers had a bit of a violet hue on the edges, while his were a tael colour ( the hue at the edges of his eyes)

She didn't know what to do then.

She hadn't been given etiquette yet, since classes started once you were five, and she didn't know who the man was...until he spoke.

"So this is her?"
