A knock on the door and a call interrupted her musings"Raven~it's time for your meal time~"
The wet nurse, whose name she learned to be Daisy, came in while saying those two dreaded words.
Meal Time
It was one of the most embarrassing and awful moments in her entire lifetime
And she was living her second one!
She's just so glad she doesn't remember her first time.....
*Shudders*
Not to disrespect Daisy or anything, her chests were voluptuous and very...well shaped?
But...sucking on them as someone with a concious and certain amount of intelligence was.......
Anyway;;;
Moving along to another subject, as a baby, she generally had a lot of free time, half of it being spent on sleeping and other human necessities, but the rest was free for herself.
Thank God she was already one, but the first few months here were;;;;
Babies learn to crawl at around six months.
That ment she basically spent six months in the crib just...thinking about life.
True, baby's needed an insane amount of sleep, so it wasn't like she was always awake, however the time she spent doing nothing isn't anything to scoff at.
She's surprised she hadn't gone insane at this point.
Though she had always been very self sufficient in her past life, which led to her need of human relationship being generally low, one would still get bored after always being in the same space with nothing to do other than... Contemplating ones existence
When she was finally allowed to crawl around the room, she made it a daily goal to do at least five laps around it every day.
If you had noticed, people -especially women- died at a very early age. Why? Because the lifestyle they held was absolutely horrible. For nobles, men were obliged to learn swordsmanship, no matter your position, if you were a noble, it was a must.
However, while men were forced to train their bodies, women were forced to spend their time doing and learning menial work.
Sure- sewing and preparing tea were cool and all, but the amount of time spent learning it was absurd.
It was all to learn how to be a proper lady.
It was BS.
Thankfully, times were changing and women were giving a little more freedom, but it was still absurd.
They were still expected to stay at home and be little more than a pretty vase to decorate the rest of your abode.
Millions of life's, washed away as mere decoration.
It was sickening.
Not only was it mentally bad, it was physically so, too.
Lack of movement and exercise led to the deterioration of both the body and mind.
Falling sick far from hard.
No wonder so many women died at childbirth (that- and because made for a tragic backstory for their future sons and daughters, so)
And that was precisely what she wanted to avoid.
She'd been an up and healthy millennial
Sure- she despised exercising and was as lazy as most other teens her age, but she understood the importance of it nonetheless.
Without further ado, she got to work.
The room was very big and every inch of the floor was carpeted, which suited her interests very well.
However, though she had the space in her favour, her body was....
Let me explain: A babies muscles are very hard to control, so it wasnt a surprise that seeing how tired she was on her first try, the nanny took her back to the crib before she could even finish her first lap.
So then she tried the next day...which she was able to do one whole lap around, and after resting, even three more.
The third day she did eight laps....(she might have gotten a bit too exited about gaining her mobility back, even if it were as crawling...)
And then back to five everyday cause she was too lazy, and it took about 30 minutes of exercise everyday, which if she doesn't remember wrong, was what toddlers needed to develop well.
At that time she was only around six months old-or so she assumed. It was very difficult to measure time when the only thing you did was eat, sleep and excrete everyday- and yes, she said excrete. True, it was embarrassing at first, but she got used to it and personally, meal time was still way worse-
Anyway, as she was saying-
That was only about six months, at month eight she could get up by herself on both legs and walk a few steps.It was amazing.
It was actually funny how something as natural as walking to her could suddenly prove so difficult and fascinating.So she took a couple more steps, feeling she got the hang of it....;;;;
And fell.
