The great hall was packed by the time myself and Cat reached it for breakfast. Our hands still clasped together, I lead us over to Isla, Taylor, Scorpio and Victoria. I could feel multiple eyes on us, but I didn't care. Not anymore.
We reached the table and was met with Scorpio's massive grin. He jumped up and ran over holding me uncomfortably tight.
"Oh my goodness, I'm so glad you're okay!" I smiled a little and hugged him back.
"Okay okay Scorpio, let gooooo. I'm freaking starving," he let go sheepishly, a quiet blush creeping up his cheeks. I sat down next to Cat and kissed her cheek. Isla make a face and a fake vomiting sound which caused Cat to chuckle. Damn, that was adorable. I poured myself and Cat some tea, making it exactly as she likes it.
"Aww you're making tea? Cheers Quiche, I will have mine with no milk and 3 sugars."
"Isla, that's disgusting. I refuse to make such monstrosities." She groaned and took the teapot mumbling under her breath. I smirked and passed Cat her tea, reaching and grabbing some toast at the same time. The plate that was piled high with white bread was directly in front of Taylor who had been glaring at me since I had walked over. Probably because she missed the chance to fuck Cat. At least I hope she had, I'm still unsure what happened after I insulted Cat.
I raised an eyebrow at Taylor's glare challenging her to say something to me as I was buttering my toast. She didn't.
"Hey you missed the quidditch tryouts while you were in the hospital wing, do you think the Captain will let you try out anyway? I don't thin-" I turned my attention away from Taylor, cutting Scorpio off.
"Scorpio, I don't know if I want to play this year." He dropped is hashbrown and Taylor choked on her tea.
"Wait what?" Cat put her hand on my cheek turning my head so I'm looking directly at her concerned gaze. "But you're so good, why not try out?" Even though I could hear what she as saying, it took me a moment to process it. Her face was so distracting. I blinked a few times and cleared my throat.
"I don't- "I looked around the group who were listening in. I lowered my voice leaning in closer to Cat. "I don't think they would let me on the team dating... well dating you." I wanted this to work as if that means missing out on the team then so be it.
"Prick." The mumble made my head snap in Taylors direction. I raised an eyebrow at her daring her to repeat herself. She screwed up her face in disgust. "What, are we just going to pretend that everything is okay now? Forgive and forget is it?" Her voice began raising with every word. "She was your fucking girlfriend and you fucked her over," I growled banging my hands on the table jumping up.
"That's none of your fucking business. "
"It became my business when I was the one walking her back to her common room." Taylor had also stood, our heads nearly clashing. "And where were you?" My heart stopped. I wasn't there. For the first time since I can remember, I backed down. First, my shoulders relaxed and then my eyebrows furrowed. I sat back down next to Cat who looked shocked at the outburst.
"Right well I think I'm going to head to class," Isla stood up pulling Taylor along with her.
"But it's Saturd-"
"Speak to you later Cat!" With that, they were both gone. I looked over at Cat who hadn't said a word and wrapped an arm around her shoulders, an action she leant into. I caught Scorpio's eyes and smiled a little. He understood and invited Victoria, who usually was quiet with me, to the library for some study time. She agreed leaving me and Cat alone.
"Let's go to our room?" She asked, well mumbled. I kissed her head and nodded. We both got up and I grabbed some more toast for the journey. She laced her fingers with mine and we headed towards our room.
We were yet to talk about what I had said the other night. I wanted to apologise time and time again but knew that would only help so much. I honestly just wanted to spend a quiet day with Cat, cuddled up together in our hidden room. Reading to each other and watching some muggle movies. Yeah, that would be really nice.
Reaching our room, I light the candles we had scatters around and turned on a few fairy lights. I turned around to find Cat snuggled up on our bed, patting the spot next to her inviting me over. I smiled happily and joined her, wrapping my arms around as much of her body as humanly possible.
I kissed the top of her head softly causing her to look up. She stared at me for a moment as if contemplating something, then leaned up and kissed me. It was a nice kiss. Not quite an 'I forgive you' kiss but more of a 'we are going to be alright' kiss. Our touching cheeks started to dampen, and I pulled away thinking I had made her cry. Why her gorgeous eyes met mine, I realised it was my tears. I... I was crying? Cat reached up and wiped away my stray tears. It was comforting, and I leaned into her touch.
"It's okay. I love you." I nodded and leaned down to kiss her passionately. Her hands tangled into my hair and she gasped a little as I nibbled her bottom lip. I smiled and kissed her deeper. I felt her hand pull at the hem of my shirt before she ran her hand up it. She groaned realising that I had my binder on which caused me to giggle. I pulled away and sat up taking off my binder but leaving my shirt on. I much preferred when she took it off of me.
I pulled Cat up onto my lap and placed soft kissed down her neck, stopping every once in a while, to bite softly but hard enough to leave a purple bruise. If we were going to do this thing properly then I wanted everyone to know she was mine.
She made a few cute noises in reaction to my actions which only encouraged me further. I moved lower with my mouth and kissed along her collarbones, moving the neck of her shirt out of my way but I wanted more.
