A pale blush

I couldn't fall asleep, I was too hyped. Cat had fallen asleep a few hours ago, naked with her head on my bare chest. Our future kept playing in my mind, I was so excited. A mumbled groan pulled me from my thoughts as my girl stirred in my arms. I kiss the top of her head lightly and she nuzzled further into me.

"Why are you still awake?" I smiled at her sleepy statement and wrapped another arm around her.

"No reason, love. Let's get some sleep," she nodded a little and I smiled even wider closing my eyes to try and drift off to sleep.

The next morning, I was awoken to someone kissing all over my face. I smiled and pushed Cat away playfully, but she was relentless. I giggled and covered my face. Opening my eyes, the room was covered in the early morning sun, but I was more focused on Cat's beautiful face smiling down at me. I reached up and pulled her to me, kissing her softly. I felt her smile and place a hand on my waist as she nibbled my lip a little making me pull away.

"I really love you but those hashbrowns are calling my name." She rolled her eyes and pushed me back down on the bed.

"Kreatcher?" A quiet bang was followed with a puff of smoke Kreatcher was known to be grouchy almost always, but once he saw Cat he bowed. "Could we maybe please have some hashbrowns, toast and tea please?" Without a word, he bowed once more and puff... he was gone.

"What the fuck?" Cat smiled to herself and shrugged her shoulders.

"You get to know the house-elves when your common room is right next to the kitchen," I smiled and reached over kissing her. We were interrupted by our food appearing on the floor with a slight clank. Cat reached over and grabbed the plate, best hashbrowns ever.

The morning slipped away into afternoon which slipped into the evening. We spent the day wrapped up in each other's arms, watching some random series and helping each other study. I mean she was in the year above, so I might as well take advantage of her knowledge. Cat was leaning against my shoulder reading a book on potions, something we could study together. She put her book down and kissed my cheek gently.

"Sooooo you know how it's Halloween tomorrow?" Oh no.

"Umm no I don't," she nibbled on my ear a little as I tried to avoid her sweet advances.

"Could we maybe dress up together and go to Taylor and Victoria's party? Pleeeeease?" Now usually I absolutely hated Halloween, so much so that I bypassed it and went straight to Christmas. But what caught my attention was that it was Taylor's party. I smirked.

"I refuse to dress up," Cat pouted, and I kissed her briefly before continuing "but I would happily go with you." She smiled seemingly satisfied with my response and kissed me hard. I wrapped my arms around her waist as she shifted over, so she was sat in my lap. I smiled into the kiss as I felt her hands tangle into my hair. Just as I was about to unbutton her shirt, well my shirt, she pulled away suddenly.

"Shit I said I would meet Isla for dinner to discuss..." Her words faded and she looked away from me sheepishly. I gently grabbed her chin and turned her face back to mine raising an eyebrow. "Um well to talk about you." There was a slight blush on her cheeks and I kissed them both smirking.

"Well let's get you to dinner then, my love." I tapped her thighs and she jumped off of me turning to sort her hair out in the mirror, it was slightly wild since I lie to run my hands through it. I came up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist, resting my head on her shoulder. "You look beautiful." She smiled wildly and I kissed her cheek, "come on."

I held her hand as she led the way to the great hall. I've grown to ignore the stares we get, I mean I'm happy so fuck them. When we reached the entrance, I spotted Isla talking with Scorpio who was laughing and running his hand through his hair. I smirked and nudged Cat a little nodding in their direction.

"Looks like we aren't the only ones crossing house boundaries." She smiled widely and led us toward them. Isla was blushing a little which didn't seem to match her usually confident face. Scorpio noticed us first and cleared his throat, starting to rock back and forth on his heels. Isla seemed to catch on as her hair covered most of her face from us, probably to hide her blush.

"Hey sorry I'm late," gosh Cat's voice is so sweet. Isla shrugged and mumbled something. Cat kissed my cheek and let go of my hand, a feeling I hated. "Catch up with you later?" I nodded smiling and nodded to Scorpio who followed me to the Slytherin table. I hadn't sat here in a while so I was kind of nervous, but the table was relatively empty.

"So.. you and Is-"

"Shut up." Scorpio's usually pale skin turned a light shade of pink as he pilled his plate high with food. How he ate so much yet kept so skinny I will never know. I smirked to myself and decided to bring it up later. Fernsby came and sat directly next to me, leaving hardly any space. He looked stressed, his face stern. Scorpio stopped chewing.

"Where were you?" I raised an eyebrow turning to my former captain.

"Hello Fernsby, so glad to see you too. How was-"

"Cut the crap. You missed try outs." Damn.

"Yeah I was in the hospital wing and I kinda figured that since I was dating a Hufflepuff you wouldn't want me on the team anymore?" I kept my voice calm but inside was panicking slightly. What if he hadn't noticed that I was dating a Hufflepuff? What if I just messed up without needing to?

"Look." Oh god, I refused to look at him. "I couldn't give a shit if you were dating a Pidgeon. You are our seeker. Get your arse back into gear and I will see you on the pitch tonight." I couldn't believe it, not only was it way better than I expected but I also didn't need to tryout. I smiled widely and nodded firmly. Fernsby smiled back and slapped my back in a friendly way before leaving. Maybe this isn't going to be as bad as I thought.
