Tanzanite's POV:

I sat in a cell, in some part of Homeworld. I don't remember much, or why I'm in a freaking cell! What did I do to deserve this?! I thought we were in a new era now, Era 3?! Looks to me like it hasn't changed a bit.

Last thing I recall, I was about to shatter that annoyance of a gem: Lapis Lazuli. Then... everything after that is hazy. I remember when I reformed, I felt a little strange. As if there were tiny needles in my gem. I also remember seeing the shocked faces of some Peridots, before ultimately being dragged to this blasted cell!

I've spent about five days behind these bars. Each day lasting longer than the last. Sure it's boring, but it's also quiet. And I think best... when it's quiet. First thing's first, my escape! It'll be quiet simple really. All I have to do, is wait for when they do a check up on me again. For some odd reason, they've been doing that. As if I'm some test subject of their experiment... I'm not... right? Anyway, I'm getting off topic. Secondly, find my crew and CRUSH THOSE BLUE PEBBLES!!!

... *cough*, sorry about that. Oh, look at that. They're right on schedule!

"Are you Tanzanite Facet-5T2Z Cut3XH?"

"Hmph, depends. Who wants to know?"

The eye-placed Peridot sighed in annoyance, "we do this every time you clod."

"Hehe, I know. I just like to get on your nerves."

The Peridot sighed once more, disabling the cell's barrier. She walked up to me, placing handcuffs on my wrists.

"Handcuffs? You haven't done this before Peri-snot, must have something important planned... or someone."

"You know there have been more original nicknames. Yours are just outdated, you clod."

"Oh yeah, and clod isn't," I whispered, rolling my eyes as she lifted me to my feet.

She pushed me forward, and we started moving. We walked through the hall, passing by several Peridots, and black gems, that appear to be new. Finally, as we turned a corner, it appeared we were alone. I stopped walking, and stretched my arms in the air.

"What are you doing?! Keep moving, we're almost there," Peridot squealed.

"Yeah, yeah I know."

We kept moving, until I saw my opening. As she turned the next corner, oblivious to her surroundings, I snuck behind her. I sweeper her legs, causing her to fall backwards. As she did, I grabbed her destabilizer, and hit her with it. She poofed, the keys to my cuffs falling to the ground. I caught the keys, as I did with her pathetic, puke colored, gem. I set myself free, and smirked at the pebble in my grasp.

"See ya Peri-"

"That is quite enough now."

Every muscle (or whatever they have) froze within my body. I couldn't move from fear of White Diamond's voice projecting through the throne room. I was to focused on taking out Peridot, that I was oblivious! I was led into the throne room! THE DOMAINS OF THE DIAMONDS!!!

"M-My Diamond... I-I can explain," I said, although my words broke with fear.

"Oh, no need to explain. I think you've proven yourself."

"Proven myself?"

"Why yes little Tanzanite. You've shown that even shattered gems, that have been brought back to life, can be useful."

Now I remember! I was shattered! Yet... I'm alive?! Was what she was saying true?! Was I brought back to life... how?! Why?! When?!

"U-Uh... I... I," I didn't know hat to say. I was to in shock! Was she complimenting me, or belittling me?! Probably both!

"Well, I know that you must be very confused as to how and why you're here."

I simply nodded in agreement, my mouth closed, tightly shut. I still held the green gem in my hand, wanting so badly, to just break her here and now! But if I did, that would most certainly upset WHITE DIAMOND! Then I'd be shattered... again!

"Well, you were shattered. That is true."

My mouth opened slightly in shock, I wanted to say something, but couldn't find the words. I could feel my grip loosening, and I dropped Peridot's gem to the cold, hard floor below. I couldn't believe I was this lost at words... I've never been like this before!.. Then again, this is White Diamond!

"We've been running test on you, as you know, to see how stable you are. And might I add, you have been recovering well."

"Th-Thank you... my Diamond."

"But that's not all! You've been recovering more rapidly than all the others we've brought back..."

'All the others', I thought. Who were these 'others' she spoke of... how many gems did they do this to?!

"I'd like to offer you a position," she said lightly, a small smile accompanying her words.

"O-Offer?"

"That's right. I would like you to lead my Obsidian soldiers against that wretched rebellion! Not to mention, those two Lapis Lazuli that keep disturbing you."

I was filled with anger at their mention. I frowned, and my brows furrowed. I looked up to White Diamond with a smirk, doing the signature Diamond salute.

"I would love to my Diamond!"

"Excellent," she beamed wickedly, clasping her hands together. "Just one more thing," she said, pointing to the green gem on the floor. "Shatter her."

I raised a brow, slightly taken back by her request. "Wh-What? Not to be r-rude my D-Diamond, but did you say... shatter?"

Now she was the one holding the angered expression, "that's right... is there a problem?"

"N-No my Diamond! I was just.., surprised you would suggest that-but I'm more than happy to fulfill your request."

I stared down at the Peridot gem on the ground. Why did I feel bad... I wanted to shatter her earlier anyway. I drew in a breath, raised my foot.., and... CLINK! The sound of little shards hitting the floor could be heard. I lifted my foot to reveal my actions, and White looked beyond pleased.

"Excellent! Absolutely wonderful! You're ready to shatter those dastardly rebellion rocks! And we can't forget... about Steven..."
