Part Seven Chapter Seven: Breaking Point

The ship finally came into view. It belonged to none other than Jasper and Tanzanite! They hovered above the sand, a couple feet in the air. Then, Jasper and Tanzanite dropped down to the sand. Jasper landed with ease, but Tanzanite fell on her face.

"You," Steven growled, his eyes becoming pink.

"Steven," Spinel whispered, trying to get him to snap out of it.

Steven turned, and could see the fear in Spinel's eyes, but they were directed towards him. His brows dropped ever so slightly, and the pink hue washed away. He took a deep breath, than dropped the bubble.

"Steven, what are you doing," Spinel gasped.

"Amethyst, protect her. Ok?"

Amethyst nodded, and took Spinel's hand.

"Follow me, he'll be find," Amethyst said, guiding the scared Spinel aside.

Steven walked towards the two intruders, making sure to stay calm. Tanzanite finally stood to her feet, rubbing her head. Jasper grinned wickedly, and tightened her fists. Steven stopped, now standing just a mere 20 feet away from the two.

Spinel and Amethyst heard a warp pad activate, followed by a slight gasp. They turned and saw Pearl and Garnet rush out of the destroyed building. They both had their weapons drawn. They saw Spinel and Amethyst, and rushed to their side.

"What's going on," Pearl asked.

"We don't know exactly," Spinel said, still fixated on Steven.

"It's Jasper and Tanzanite! They just showed up and destroyed the house! We were going to help, but Steven insisted I helped Spinel," Amethyst explained.

"He needs our help-"

"No," Garnet interrupted.

"No," Pearl squawked.

"I see a high possibility that he succeeds without consequences."

"Well... what about the other possibilities?"

Garnet bit her lip, and didn't respond.

"Garnet," Amethyst asked.

"I don't see anything else... just that. I don't know why."

She was telling the truth. For some reason, right now, all she saw was the best possible outcome.

"All we can do is hope."

Steven stared down the two intruders. He was mad, and he could feel it trying to bubble up, but he fought the urge.

"Well, well, well," Jasper started. "If it isn't Steven Universe!"

"Jasper... Tanzanite," Steven grunted.

"You look... different," Tanzanite said.

"Yeah Steven! You almost look... corrupted! Ha! You're corrupting!"

Jasper and Tanzanite laughed a little, causing Steven's rage to boil more. He shook it off, and took out his shield.

"I'm not scared to fight anymore! If that's what'll take... so be it!"
