Steven turned purple again, and walked slowly to them. His stomps shook the ground. The gems looked up to see Spinel on the floor. Amethyst ran to her, trying to help her wake up. Pearl and Garnet stared at Steven in fear, as he now towered over them. Eyes glaring and teeth ready, he let out a small snort, and roared once more.
He raised his foot, ready to destroy the exhausted group... until...
Amethyst gasped in shock, and everyone paused, even Steven. They all turned to look at her and Amethyst. Amethyst blocked Spinel from the rest. Steven growled, and leaned closer to the two. Amethyst turned around, and took out her whip, ready to protect Spinel.
"Stay away from her dude," she yelled. "You hurt her enough!"
Spinel stood slowly, holding her throbbing face. She had her eyes closed, and her hand on her right one. When she stood tall, and above Amethyst, she let go of her face. Pearl and Garnet gasped in shock as well. And Steven... stared blankly... as if he knew what he did.
Spinel opened her eyes... but something was wrong. Her vision looked... odd. Was it her dazed state, or was everything more... to the right? That's when she saw her reflection in a piece of the broken ship, and her eye widened. Just like Pink Pearl... or left eye... had been cracked!
