A Few Months Later
1992
Your POV
•-•-•-•-•

A lot has changed over the course of a few months. Nothing too huge, but drastic enough to make a difference.

Nobody died, which we're all grateful for.

We're no longer in that town from a few months prior. We had left due to resources falling short, so we all had to relocate.

My group and I had found a city recently, and decided to take a chance there. Dangerous, yes, but could potentially be filled with abandoned supplies. And walkers, but we're taking our chances.

I lightly shove Stanley as he makes a joke, letting out a small snort and smile as we lead the group.

I've been dubbed the nickname "scarface" with my friends. I don't really mind it too much, as it wasn't meant with malicious intent. Besides, I do still have the scars from those scratches from It. They aren't very prominent, but still visible.

We all like to tease one another by using these kind of nicknames. It reminds me of the names Bowers would call us, and some of us are even using them for the jokes.

For me, I kept "metal-faced freak-show," but simplified it to "metal-face." Sometimes Bill even says that I'm quite "holy." It's hilarious.

Speaking of Bill, his nickname is "stutters," which I'm pretty sure was given to him by Richie. And Richie's is "loudmouth" or "trashmouth." His boyfriend's is "germaphobe." For Ben, it's "meat-sack," Stanley's is "crybaby," and finally, Beverly's is "pumpkin-head."

It's all in good fun, and is a great way to ease some tension for us. Unless someone is really ticked, in which case it would likely piss them off even further.

Luckily, that situation hasn't arisen just yet.

Drawing back to the present, Stan had said to me, "Where to next, scarface?"

That's why I playfully pushed him.

Currently, we're just wandering around. So I tell him just that.

"Oof," he chuckles.

I shake my head at him, smiling softly.

I feel a stare on my back, and have an inkling as to who it is. My thoughts are only confirmed at Richie's quiet outburst.

"Quit being jealous, stutters!"
"Sh-Shut it, l-loudmouth! I'm n-n-not j-jealous!"

I find my cheeks burning from listening to them. So it was Bill who was looking at me and Stan after all. He was jealous?

I'm not going to lie, I have grown slight feelings for him over time. He's just so adorkable, you know? I love his personality, his voice (even with the stutters), and just everything about him. Even his flaws, which to me, he has none.

Apparently he was the leader before I came around. Since then I had "demoted" him to "co-leader," as Richie puts it. I kinda feel bad about it, but Bill doesn't seem to be bothered by me taking charge for him.

Though, now I tend to let him lead things more as well. We usually work together on what we're going to do next, making us both the leaders of our little squad.
