Clarke POV
I was paged to the hospital for an emergency even though it was my day off. Perks of being a top-class general/trauma surgeon. I got through the emergency pretty quickly.

I went home early after finally realizing how tired I was. Sleeping in on-call rooms for days on end didn't exactly give you the best night's rest possible. I made it to the front steps to my apartment and noticed a box sitting behind a pot of flowers. I picked it up and made my way in the medium-sized apartment I shared with Raven.

I went to throw the box on Raven's bed since I hadn't ordered anything recently, but I noticed my name neatly written on it. I threw it on my bed after considering how bad I needed to properly shower. I took a quick shower and threw on pajamas since I wasn't planning on going out for the rest of the day.

I sat on my bed remembering the mysterious box that was left on the steps. I picked it up with caution hoping there wasn't a bomb inside. I looked at the exterior of the box and noticed there wasn't a returning or delivery address on it. Someone delivered it personally...

I slowly opened up the box instantly noticing a fancy letter on top with a small box underneath and some cushioning. Whoever delivered the box was very considerate.

Clarke Griffin

The card read infancy, cursive handwritten letter. The letter said.

Dear Miss Clarke Griffin,
After our brief encounter on Monday morning, I noticed you left a couple of belongings behind since you were in such a rush. Your phone was completely shattered so I took it upon myself to replace it since the run-in was my fault. The phone is in the small box and it is the latest iPhone for you. I also have your white doctor vest. I was not able to put it in the box since I got it cleaned and pressed, it was also not ready just yet. I would love to give it to you in person if you allow me to. I left my phone number in your new phone for you to contact me. I hope you like your new phone. If you do not, please let me know so we can exchange it for something you would like.
Sincerely,
Lexa

I sat on my bed shocked. This was the last thing I was expecting to happen. I slowly take out the box that contained the new phone. It had the same wallpaper from before. A picture of Bellamy and I hugging. That was such a good day.

I opened it to the home screen but instead found the name Lexa with a phone number attached. Wow, this girl is something else...

Lexa POV
I was starting to get worried since it had been about 4 hours since I had dropped off the phone. I wasn't expecting her to text me back but was hoping for it obviously. The ball was in her court so it's time for me to get over it and finally get to work.

I went to the office to work for a while hopefully not being interrupted. Two hours later, I was deep into work when I felt someone staring at me.

"Can I help you or are you going to keep staring?" I said with a stern business voice without looking up.

"Well I don't know, will you send me with Luna or will you be able to squeeze me into your schedule?" I heard in a familiar sarcastic voice. I looked up rolling my eyes in the process.

"What the hell Anya? Were you stalking me?"

"I wasn't but these people were." She showed me her phone that contained pictures of me talking to Luna.

"What are you? A jealous girlfriend?" I said sarcastically but curious about why Anya was bugging me. Especially since she saw that I was working to close this deal, that she so desperately wanted to be done.

"Nope, just wondering why you went to talk to the person who betrayed you," Anya said with a little hint of hatred towards Luna. I don't blame her, she did screw us over big time.

"Just because she screwed us over with the shares of the Verizon Company doesn't mean I can't be friends with her," I said secretly trying to convince myself what I just told Aya. I wasn't friends with her, to say the least. We were only friends when it benefited her or me.

"So you're saying that you're still friends with the heck that stole millions of dollars from the both of us?" I shook my head putting my head into my hands afterward. I shouldn't have come here. I should've stayed home. "MILLIONS OF DOLLARS LEXA!!"

"Anya, you do realize that right now we're making double of how much she'll ever make? If we would've taken those shares and that company, we wouldn't be here. We wouldn't be our own owners of 12 different companies. We wouldn't own the very building we are in right now. We wouldn't be known." I said as I lifted my head to glare at Anya.

"I know, I just wanted to get under your skin," Anya said as a smirk quickly found its way onto her face. I quickly threw the pin that was in my hand but she just as quickly dodged it. I figured she would since she's athletic but it was worth a try to get the smirk off her face.

"Okay, I'm officially done with you and today. I'm out." I started to gather a couple of things I was planning on taking home.

"Wait, Lex, sorry I was just messing around. Stop packing this deal isn't done yet." Anya said desperately trying to get me to stop. She even tried taking my bag out of my hands.

"Well you should've thought about that before you even walked into my office," I said as a distraction to get my stuff from her. It was easy to get my things out her hand considering I'm more fit than her. I finished throwing a couple of things into my bag.

"Goodbye Anya, also I planned a ball with the sellers and investors to sway them all over once and for all." She called after me in shock to what I had just said. I started making my way towards the door.

"Wait what did you just say? When is this? Lexa get back here, I wasn't done talking to you!" she called after me.

"Well I am, see ya. Please lock up my office before you leave." I said as I walked away from her. She kept calling my name so I just threw up my hand without looking back at her expression.

I got into my corvette and made my way home. Driving always calmed me down, especially when I wasn't paying attention to the speed. I didn't get far when I heard sirens behind me. Of. Hecking. Course. I pulled over and reached for my license and registration. I remained calm thinking that Anya was behind this.

A dark-haired boy approached my car and knocked on the window. I didn't get a good look until he lowered his head to talk to me. His shaggy but curly hair hanging around him. He seemed pretty tall and somewhat built. There is no way this dude is a real cop.

"License and registration," he said in a deep formal voice. I handed it over to him and started to take off my sunglasses to get a better view of what's going on.

"You know..." I glanced at his badge name then made eye contact "Officer Blake if my friend Anya put you up to this just tell me how much you want so I can be on my way." I did my best to try and charm him but it usually works on ladies better than men.

He gave me a puzzled look almost as if he was shocked by what I had just said.

"Are you trying to bribe an officer ma'am? Because if you are, I would have to arrest you considering that it's a felony." He said trying to keep a very serious face.

"No of course not..." He walked back to his car to check everything out. I cursed at myself and Anya for what had just happened. Anya is going to get it the next time I see her.

He started making his way back over to me while taking out his pad. "You're in luck. I'm only giving you a ticket for your reckless driving. I don't have time right now to bring you in." he said as he was quickly trying to write down all the information.

"Great," I said sarcastically "I wouldn't even have stayed there for five minutes anyway," I muttered to myself but I'm pretty sure he heard. I wasn't lying, not with all the great lawyers I know and owed me favors.

"Here you go and take that as your warning. Next time I won't be so nice." I quickly snatched the ticket out of his hand and threw the car into drive. I floored the gas pedal trying to accelerate as quickly as possible. The engine roared as it was finally in its natural habitat. I quickly got back into traffic before the police officer could do anything about it.
