Later that night....

You finally reached the top of the cliff where Shen was already waiting. You took a breath as Shen walked towards you.

"Uhm. Hello again, (Y/N)." He said nervously as he fiddled with whatever he was hiding behind his back.

"Hey Shen. So, what was it you wanted to tell me?" You said, taking off your mask and holding it.

"First off, I apologize for making you come all this way. I just wanted to make sure we weren't being watched." He took out from his back a flower.

"Ah, t-thank you." You stuttered as he handed you the flower.

"Secondly, I want you to be aware of my.. deep feelings for you." Shen looked away as you looked down at the flower nervously.

"I love you," he said softly, "I didn't want to bother you with my feelings this soon... but I am about to do something dangerous, so I am making you aware in case I.. well..."

You looked up at him. "Wait, what? No! What are you going to do?"

Shen looked down at you softly. "I can't tell you."

There was a long silence between you too. Then, out of nowhere, you threw your mask to the side and wrapped your arms around him, your head on his chest.

Shen flinched. "(Y/N)??"

"Shen, why do you always have to worry me?" You choked up as you looked at him. His eyes widened at your tears. He quickly returned the hug and rubbed your back soothingly.

"I am so, so, sorry..." he whispered into your ear as you cried into his chest.

You both stayed like that, holding each other so tight and close, as if one of you could disappear at any moment.

Finally, you pulled away and smiled at him. "I love you too."

Shen pulled back a little more, as if surprised. Until he smirked through his mask and removed it completely to reveal his smirk. You were taken aback a little, as it's been a while since you've seen his actual face, but all lingering thoughts were pushed away as he gently grabbed your waist and cupped your cheek, pulling you in for a kiss.
