Chapter 8

Hyeri, Mina and Areum went to the store to go looking for a new bathing suit for Areum's pool party. They were getting tired, so they stopped to eat frozen yogurt.When they had sat down. She explained the whole situation between her and Haechan.

"So yeah. That's about it." She said. Mina wiped her mouth after choking.

"What happened? You ok?" Areum said, handing her a bottle of water.

"Did you not just realize what happened? He likes you!" Hyeri said. Areum laughed loudly.

"Oh don't make me laugh." She said, wiping a tear. Hyeri and Mina were just looking at her.

"He got jealous because you were spending time with another guy. Does that not give you a hint?!" Mina said. Areum slowly stopped eating her food.

"And he also couldn't stop giving you compliments on your dress on instagram." Hyeri said.

"He did make a weird compliment at the dinner." She said. Hyeri and Mina squealed.

"You guys can't be sure yet." She said crossing her arms.

"Why don't you invite us to the party so we can keep an eye on him." Hyeri said. Aruem let out a small snort.

"You just want an excuse to go to the party." Areum said, looking at her two best friends. They looked at each other and back at Areum.

"PLEASE" they yelled at her. She jumped back, surprised at how loud their voices are.

"I know were not rich but were an exception." They both talked simultaneously while she sat there staring at them both. That's when she picked up her phone and looked for her brothers contact name.

"Hello?" He answered. Her two friends had gone silent.

"Jae can you do me a favor?" She said.

"What do you need?"

"I need you to add Mina and Hyeri's names to the guest list?" He immediately responded.

"No! I already got Jeno Jaemin and Jisung, Haechan is sneaking in some of his friends, and Chenle is rich so automatically he gets to come and he's bringing Renjun. Plus I have some of my friends who want to come" He replied.

"The two words 'Jaehyun' and 'friends' do not go together in the same sentence." There was a slight pause.

"You do realise your not making this easier for you?" He said. She sighed.

"Your only allowed two guests. Any more than that will have to pay a fee" Jaehyun said. She groaned.

"Fucking useless. Bye loser." She hung up the phone.

"So were not going?" Hyeri said. Areum scoffed.

"No you are. I'll have to pay a fee." She said.

"We can pay it. We feel bad" Mina said. Areum looked at her with one eyebrow raised. Mina giggled.

"Actually we don't. Nevermind." Mina said. She chuckled.

"Is your brother bringing his girlfriend? Maybe instead of her he can bring me as his guest so you won't have to pay." Mina said. Areum stared at her.

"Jaehyun hasn't talked to Sana in like months. They were only together for like two weeks. Plus he already said he's bringing his friends." She said. Mina sighed.

"Mina no" Areum said.

"No what?" She asked

"I know you" Areum replied, crossing her arms.
